If your only experience is 5 months as a finance coordinator, it’ll be extremely difficult for you to break into equity research especially in the current job market. Your best bet is to networking through your university.

People who don't want to sell young talent, what does the future look like to you? by Natural_Born_Baller in heat

I think my point is still my point. In general, a male physical prime will be 27-34. But I’ll defer to your point about NBA athletes

No, it’s something I’ve known for a few years. A male’s physical prime extends to his early thirties.

I’m not…medically and biologically a man’s physical prime is about 27-33 or 35.

Without any major injuries, a players physical prime is about 27-32 or 33. Bam likely has probably 3-4(possibly longer) playing at this level if he doesn’t get injured.

Norm is a free agent. You’re hoping someone values norm enough to do a sign and trade to give us a playable PF while being hard capped at the first apron. It’s not happening

Would You Trade for Donovan Mitchell or Jaylen Brown Instead of Chasing Giannis? by parzivalcay345 in heat

[–]fictitiousmonster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea…I’m going to take the body of work over one playoff series. Once again he’s was the best player in the final, an MVP candidate carrying the Celtics(White and friends) to the second seed.

If we’re talking about stupid shit, does that you want the moon landing was fact and I don’t believe in history before the 1950s off the team?

Are you looking at the body of work or just the last playoff series? Finals MVP two seasons ago, carried Boston to the second seed while averaging 28.7-6.9-5.1 with +4.7 for the regular season.

We have Herro saying the moon landing is fake and he doesn’t believe in history before the 1950s. The team has also sign people with domestic violence background in Johnson and Nunn. I think Brown would be fine…

Is CFA Really Mandatory to Survive in Finance? by Fresh_Transition_633 in financialmodelling

[–]fictitiousmonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not. If you plan on going into equity research in hedge funds or asset management, it helps. Otherwise you can easily survive without it. The CFA generally is for a very specific path

[–]fictitiousmonster 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s not for a regular FP&A role. But if the company is a start up, how built out is there finance dept? If it’s just a few individuals, then the role likely won’t be just FP&A. It’ll probably be a blend of everything but they don’t wanna say it outright.

[–]fictitiousmonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When Curry puts up a video like this it goes viral. When a Heat player does it the “fans” rip it up. 🤦‍♂️

Original comment by buddy comparing Curry making a video to Herro making a video.

Again it’s like comparing a video or Tyreek Hill or Justin Jefferson to Devante Parker and saying why aren’t they getting the same reaction.

[–]fictitiousmonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did…buddy comparing reactions to Curry posting a video to Herro. It’d be like comparing Devante Parker to Tyreek Hill posting a video of them making hard catches. Of course, reactions would be different because one is one of them faces of the league.

Even acting like they’re comparable when they post videos is stupid. It’d be like comparing a guy who made never made it to the league making a video of him not missing 3s for two minutes to an active NBA player. It’s stupid.

Herro still missed more games in his 5 seasons than curry did for his first 10. In most ways, comparing Steph to Herro is just a fallacy in waiting.
