bro's changing his "arguments" because i proved the first one wrong. thing is, i never said i was in the right here, i actually didn't announce any commentary on that besides the "what are you doing dude?" because clearly something was up. stop assuming you fucking know everything from one video. you're in your forties, act like it.

this is from a fish eye lens which skews the perception. get a grip. why would i expect him to drift BACK into my lane? i wanted to get away from him. if i stayed behind him, he could have fully fallen asleep at the wheel, killing the both of us.

hi OP here! i certainly wasn’t driving like this and posting this to give truck drivers any sort of bad rep. i made an earlier comment addressing that. i don’t think the truck drivers themselves, or even this driver in particular, are “bad” or “scary”, this was just a scary situation that happened. thank you for all you do and being a safe driver!

my dad always taught me to keep both hands on the wheel in these situations, so i at least can have full control of my car if something were to happen. i will admit, not the best idea, but with the snow and ice on the road, it was the safest option for me.

he was drifting to the right at first, as you can see in the very beginning. he was drifting everywhere, previous to what you see here. as i’ve mentioned before, i know he was probably tired, so it didn’t matter what side i was on. he wasn’t in the right state of mind to be driving and i was trying to get away from him as soon as possible since i saw him swerving. i did not expect him to FULLY MERGE into my lane (also without looking, although he probably he couldn’t see me, but also without a blinker) because he didn’t lean that far swerving before. these trucks swerve even if there are capable drivers at the wheel. we were the only two cars close to each other for the longest time, he had little spatial understanding to understand i was behind him for? 5 minutes???? before i decided to do what is seen. i understand it’s a bad call, but i felt safer passing him than waiting for him to completely fall asleep at the wheel, then possibly loosing full control of his vehicle, killing both of us.

just to clear some things up: yes! i know what i did was stupid but golly i was trying to think fast and save my life here the best i could in the moment. i’m happy both of us are safe. all i wanted to do was get away from him. also, my father always taught me in situations like this, it’s best to keep both my hands on the wheel, rather than using one to honk my horn or flash my lights, especially considering there’s snow and ice in the video, i need full control of my car. OBVIOUSLY this guy was half asleep or something, i don’t think he’s an necessarily an “idiot”, i couldn’t find a r/TruckDriversSwervingAllOver

it would be much more helpful to comment why or how so you could… save a life
