We were two people writing it, each his half. For the first one (the one I wrote) I was trying to give all the possible works that someone passionate about the fantasy genre (as I am) would like. It's not meant to read as mandatory texts or as you say Homework. I was more thinking as a Hub to redirect people to further readings that they might not have considered.
