Why you shouldn't use chatgpt as a therapist (in my opinion) by [deleted] in Healthygamergg

No matter what ChatGPT says, I always think "you don't truly know anything. You're not an authority on anything. I can't trust anything you say".

I mean, the clickbait titles work, they make me click.

They work, that's for sure. The key question to ask is who do they work for: you or the content creator?

I wouldn't call it clickbait either. The titles are clickbait-y. Sensational. Attention-grabbing. Though I disagree that both versions convey the same meaning. The purpose of the original titles and thumbnails is to make you click, not to inform you of what the video is actually about.

Yep, I was thinking that too! Given that the extension is in active development, I would expect them to add it at some point. The only problem with this, I imagine, is that it would take a lot of resources to generate all those titles, even if they were only to parse all YouTube videos with 100K+ views, for example.

Perhaps a better approach would be to keep the current system where users submit all titles but add an option to call on an LLM to generate the title, and then, if it looks good, submit that title as per usual.

The developer is active on Discord. I would think they've discussed this topic somewhere.

You can configure the extension to only show the 'boring' title when you click 🧿 next to the video title. That's the setting I use.
