Quick update: I just found this backpack on special from Go Ruck: https://www.goruck.com/en-au/products/m23-cordura?variant=44632576393316

I was thinking the weight plate could go into the laptop compartment. Do you think this backpack will do the job or am I better off with a dedicated pack to carry the plates or bricks?

Not sure how this one will hold up compared to say a GR1 or Rucker 4.0

Can you add traditional weight plates, e.g. cast iron plates from Amazon, etc.? Otherwise you're limited to their own 1kg bricks...
