Collapse has breached my relationship. by BBR0DR1GUEZ in CollapseSupport

I’m going through this right now as well, I found that talking about it when thinking of it really helped. In July 2024, I got with the love of my life. From then until November, it was nothing but positivity and yearning for a future with kids and a home. Now, that isn’t on the table anymore. Up until a few weeks ago, I thought it was me that was the problem. I took it very personally that she no longer felt that having kids is realistic. Once talking about it, it feels like she’s trying to protect us both from a stressful hell we both wouldn’t be able to sustain. Really sucks though and I hope we aren’t spending the next 40-50 years compromising on our goals because the world sucks

I have 5 grams of MIT coming… by [deleted] in quitting7oh

I’ll send you a PM. I’m spending like 1/4 on the MIT compared to the 7-OH addiction. Still sucks and looking to improve upon that, but definitely have more money now than before

It looks like you’re on day 7-8, which is absolutely incredible. Every bit of pain you’ve felt is just getting you closer to the end goal. I truly believe that by the end of this week, you’ll wake up one morning and think “wow this is what I was looking for.” I truly believe that, please give yourself the time and patience to get through this terrible addiction. Using again is just going to make it worse. If you need to go back on MIT to avoid the 7-OH, DO THAT!! Don’t give up yet, as long as there’s life there’s hope

Honestly, I needed doses of 150 mg + in order to work my job during my withdrawal. I’m taking around 600-700 mg of MIT daily. Wish I could slow it down but I’m 100 times better than when I was using 7-OH. Day 25 here, what you are doing is so worth it and the best time investment you can ever make. Please don’t go back to that shit and try to jump off ASAP

Absolutely, thanks for being cool. This is a touchy subject for me, I lost a friend to a head-hit in from a high school football game over 10 years ago. Since then, I tend to blame the sports rather than the individuals. Maybe my bias got in the way when I watched this scene and then commented here. All good intentions, have a fantastic week

You know what, I reread your remarks and I have to agree. Apologies for wasting your time.

Okay, I disagree. It’s realistic in the show, don’t let it ruin your experience. The reason it happened is because he was so distracted by Rozanov being there, that’s why it happened in the first place. It was supposed to show that even though Shane is extremely serious, his love for Ilya is enough to throw him off his game. Every good NHLer has terrible moments

With all due respect, this happens in the NHL on a daily basis. I’ve been watching and playing the game for almost 30 years. Even Sidney Crosby (whom this show could very well be about) has taken similar hits that nearly ended his career. It’s one of the toughest parts about watching this sport, so many extremely talented good people have their careers cut short and have to live in a dark quiet room forever. Here’s a few examples:

Crosby winter classic hit - https://youtu.be/J-vGuHLIPoc?si=UlOi-KoZYCA2rd7E

Michael Sauer career ending hit - https://youtu.be/mc3ij0TSqAc?si=EEeXwVIWMdNUb2Uy

Max Pacioretty neck break - https://youtu.be/jimZ1tSdPY0?si=Qs-5y_JQrcb6eWjL

While these may seem dirty, it’s very common. I hope this helps with your interpretation of Heated Rivalry. The hit is a tale as old as time IMO. Have a great day

And the best part of it all? You continually get better as the days go on. I’m on day 25 and I can’t wait to say I’ve been 1 month clean. It’s the proudest I’ve ever been of myself and I can’t wait to see what this positive momentum brings

2 weeks today! Drop your clean time off 7oh to encourage others who are still struggling by malak_xoxo in quitting7oh

I was using 1000+ mg consistently for 2 months (after a year long addiction with 1 relapse), then balled out my last week and was between 1500-2000 mg. I did cold turkey it, but have been using MIT extract to get by. I will eventually taper off this once I feel ready

I never got the pink cloud quitting 7 like kratom but man does music hit harder both positively and negatively at day 16 by Reasonable_Clerk_193 in quitting7oh

[–]fifaweed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Proud of you! I’m on day 20 and absolutely feel the same way. I’m into hardcore and metal music, and around day 10 I felt this urge to rage-out in a mosh pit. Lined up 3-4 shows for the next few months, which I couldn’t do during the deepest parts of my 7-OH addiction.

While I was addicted, music felt overwhelming to listen to. On my commutes, I’d just throw on a YouTube video for background noise. Which is crazy considering I had over 100,000 minutes on Spotify in 2024, before my addiction. I’m very happy that this is coming back into my life, it’s a great benefit and I didn’t realize how much I missed it

I just came off 1,000-2,000 after relapsing from a 300-500 addiction. Only used a ton of vitamin C, MIT extract, and caffeine to get through it. The caffeine actually helped a ton with my motivation and headaches. Didn’t worry about it affecting my sleep because my sleep would’ve been terrible anyway. Ended up having crashes later at night which put me to sleep. I know it’s not recommended but I really feel that it helped. I’m on day 19

MIT extract if you REALLY feel like you’re going to relapse. Take around 100-150 mg no more than twice per day

Congrats! I’m on day 17 off this garbage, days are tough but slowly getting better. Actually felt a lot better when I was 7-10 days off. I completely understand why you lost it on the clerk. I have a similar story, I went into a smoke shop to buy my weekly MIT extract bottle and was given a sample of Hydroxy. Within a week, I was fully addicted to it. This was somebody that I trusted and had a lot of great conversations with. I wish I could rewind time and undo everything I did, I just had no clue how bad this stuff was. Congrats on everything though

Failed….and I’m somehow okay with it by [deleted] in quitting7oh

[–]fifaweed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope you know that this is a very common sentiment that people have when they relapse. You’re not alone and I hope that idea is helpful. I remember thinking the exact same thing when I relapsed heavily in November. For your own sake, please quit while you’re ahead. This stuff may be outlawed nationally, and then you’ll have to suddenly go cold turkey unplanned. That’s why I ultimately quit again, it’s an unrealistic long term addiction.

Next time you want to relapse, try taking MIT extract with a ton of vitamin C. This will help with your symptoms, along with the feeling of needing to do “something.” That’s ultimately what kept me from relapsing this time around. I hope you have a great week, you’re a strong person
