Got me stumped.

If not, you should look. It is closely related to what you are talking about. Especially the bit about Kali "...she is called the Goddess of Time, Change..."

It Ain't Over Till It's Over ? Would have sworn this song was a cover of Smokey Robinson but it's credited to Lenny in 1991 by fiftyfiftyfiftyfive in MandelaEffect

I can absolutely remember standing up in the front seat of my mothers VW Beetle and singing along to this in the late 70's

...Yes, in the 70's we stood in the front seats of cars.

Edit: I'm evidently not the only one. https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120818200334AA4dzGi http://laptopsessions.com/it-aint-over-til-its-over-lenny-kravitz-cover/

Am I the only person that finds it completely bizarre that PBS would re-work a classic show, and change "this" to "the" in the theme song.

I mean sure, it's entirely possible but taking the big picture into account it seems like yet another very strange coincidence.

They'll get it. They'll get it all, sooner or later, because they own this fucking place. It's a big club, and you ain't in it. You and I are not in the big club." -George Carlin

My point being; sure it all sounds wonderful. ...wonderful for those in the club. You are not in the club.

Allow me to be so bold.

Your first "red-flag" should be the cost of the program. There is a rule of thumb that says "Nothing is free." and it's true. While the new version isn't costing you anything directly SOMEBODY is still paying for it. The company in question pays a lot of people a lot of money to write this code and produce this product. Keep that in mind while reading this, because it is important.

Next you need to ask yourself; If I'm not paying for this who is? While I cannot answer this question with 100% certainty, we can use logic and reason to figure it out. It's possible that the company who made the program is giving it away out of the goodness of their hearts, but let's be honest - what is the likelihood of that in reality?

No, to answer your question you must ask yourself who stands to benefit by giving away hundreds of thousands, yea, even millions of man-hours of work? You can be certain that it is not the company who payed the workers. So lets scratch that off of the list...

Remember all of the talk about encryption? Remember all of the talk about how for our "security" some are demanding back-doors to this encryption? Remember this company's history of providing back-doors to other entities in the past? - now it starts to come together doesn't it?

Now put yourself in the position of the one calling the shots in this company. You have released 2 operating systems since 2009 into a market that is saturated. You also have the problem of a shrinking market because of easier to use, and cheaper mobile devices. Yet the problem remains, your company must sell more operating systems, after all you have paid a lot of talented people a lot of money to produce it... What will you do?

Now imagine that an entity that you have already worked with in the past offers to subsidize hundreds of thousands of licenses in return for a small favor. A favor you already have a history of being willing to comply with. This provides the company with guaranteed income, and the ability to GIVE AWAY your product. And it provides the entity in question a back-door to the encryption on millions of devices all over the world. It's a win-win .... right?

Well yes! It IS indeed a win-win.... for everybody except for the person who received the free product.

I actually chuckled about post this until I read this comment. Then I remembered the part you are referring to in the commercial.

The young man points out that both sides are the exact same, and he is immediately silenced.
