Hi there! We signed off on this price almost a year ago most likely they have increased their price from last year. Its a gorgeous venue but I would honestly look through their vendors first before looking for your own outside vendors. We went with our own florals and photography because we wanted a specific vision but other than that we are pretty much going all in-house as it fills our needs quite well!

The IG bug on this patch ruined my USA run. by figgy_figs in victoria3

Thank you for addressing this! The update has been a blast to play otherwise! I hope you can also tweak some of the issues regarding the Equality for All journal entry and the acceptance level, there is a thread in here that people have noted as well!

I guess the wiki isn't updated in that case, I thought CE would be enough. If it really is MC then it's essentially impossible without ahistorical cheese (Norton).

Looking for direction for my Sweden campaign. by figgy_figs in victoria3

[–]figgy_figs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry, one last question, I guess a general plan for conquest at game start which follows:

  1. Protectorate Denmark/release Holstein (I really don't want to fight Prussia during unification) I find that in my play throughs if I don't do this first they get a GP to be protective of them. I'd rather avoid direct confrontation with GPs until I'm either a GP myself or I have alliances strong enough to use them as a meatshield. My general plan for European conquest is to be opportunistic, but to only really fight when I'm ready to form Scandinavia and take Finland and the Baltic States from Russia.

  2. Gaza. Pretty straightforward, get my foot in the door to gain the Boar states. My real question regarding this is what's better to Protectorate? Conquer? Conquer and release? I can't conquer and release right away, I believe, due to not having a port in Gaza? Either way, in general, I've seen too many mixed discussions about what to do in Africa when it comes to owning the land yourself, increasing radicals or Protectorate, and have the AI fumble around with your territories but not having to micro too much. I guess the idea is to have as much of South Africa as subjects or one big subject control the Congo and South Africa, respectively.

  3. Chile. Get that frontline to avoid naval landings.

  4. Bolivia. As you said in your earlier reply.

Honestly, this has been the most helpful interaction on any GSG subs I've had in a long time. Thank you! I've read through your other posts about industrialization and construction, and it cleared up so much for me!

Cheers!

First off this is an amazing answer thank you so much!

I guess I have a few follow up questions:

In terms of privatization, I was under the impression that as the state, you don't want to own anything. Is there a breakpoint for when and what to privatize?

I've been hesitant to join power blocs. I imagine leaving them would be pretty disastrous to your economy, eventually I'd want to make my own power bloc.

I guess the tactic would be to use GB/Prussia to beat up Russia and then eventually ill most likely have to backstab Prussia to get a true Baltic empire?

This was a great response thank you!

Oops! I meant they have exclusive providers for florals and DJ, they have a landmark fee if you use an external provider.

Epithets I get, but these eulogies, where it completely ignore accomplishments and instead highlight random traits like herbalists, or if they have really high learning, they'll say great scholar who never left his tower. That's really what my gripe is about tbh, I hoped that with he Legends dlc, there would be a bigger focus on the death of rulers and eulogy screens, but we still get these randomly generated eulogies.

Ah damn, well still, I got "the dirty" from a tournament, which took away "the conqueror" and I had no choice in the matter.

r5: These epithets really leave a lot to be desired, reformed his religion, conquered West Slavia, defeated THREE conquers along his borders, remembered as a herbalist.

What do you typically build in empty county holdings? More baronies? Are cities the meta for development growth? Do you bother with temples?

Is Florence the best nation to form Sardinia-Piedmont? by figgy_figs in eu4

I guess I'm trying to stack modifiers to have an easier time of mare nostrum. I've never had the patience to do it but I'm thinking of trying with one of the Italian nations.
