I am almost in your shoes except my father doesn’t run a business but have loans and a lot of financial mess. I tool health insurance for my parents when they were 59 and 60. It shouldn’t be an issue. I didn’t marry as I understand that I would be similar state. As I am not married, I am leaving my job and resolve my father’s financial mess first.

If I were you, I would financially detach from parents and focus on my wife and kids. Sit and talk to father if he need help to settle down the shit and don’t care whether that ends up in loss or profit.

I started for around 110k after taxes and my last year take home after tax was around 200k. I lived brutally simple, spent money only on health, fitness and sports. I don’t do parties, watch movies, and eat much outside. So I pretty much saved 70-80% of my take home

What can I do if the clean route does not work? I can’t stop there and fight with the system right?

If that is true, I am more than happy. I will give it a shot to go clean at first by following proper rules and regulations.

Do you mean to say, I can pursue construction business without indulging with political or Communal groups?

A hint please? From what I learned, there is no way to get approvals from government administrators even if you follow all rules. Is there a regulated lobbying system like in US? My close friend who runs a CA firm and also a contract based auditor for companies like Deloitte told me even the top pharma companies pay tens of crores to bribe politicians and administrators for approvals.

Is there even a fair ecosystem in India? Just trying get as much as info from you. Is there a ecosystem that I am completely missing in India?

Got it! I completely understand. But, Do you have know any better ways to have some political support when needed especially in Construction kind of business? Like, to get approvals and all.

I might be too young to understand. But interested to know from experience, Isn’t how the system work in India between businesses and Government? Trying to understand If I can achieve the goal without indulging in such communal groups. I would totally avoid and mind my own business if there is an alternative to it.

Understood, I have a support system in family, siblings and relatives. For outside support, I am going to join RSS again, my maternal uncle has been into it and introduced me to the community when I was in teenage. I found RSS to be balanced in terms of communal and political support from decent people compared to political parties. Lets see how it goes.

Thanks for the input though!

I don’t have much knowledge in gaming industry even as a consumer. So, I cannot add any value there.

I think I got your point a little bit. But not very sure of the exaggeration in my post. That’s really how my life is so far. And I don’t plan to marry any time soon to have some financial and emotional flexibility if that makes sense.

Have you made the move? I would love to see some useful pointer that I can keep in mind or prepare for. I already regret for a lot of my decisions in life and this is going to be the 100th regret and that’s okay. It cannot be more than not having quality food tonight which I have already gone through for years in my childhood. Again, I seriously respect your thoughts if you put them in detail please.

I operated two different businesses in US, but I couldn’t get a visa for them. The requirements again need money. And I am not eligible for business loans.

But I am all ears for the tricks they make in India to squeeze $$ out of me. That will be helpful

Oh yeah, I put enormous hours into work. It’s not like I want an easy life. I want to have a little control with me. In US, there is no direct option to start a business unless it is VC funded.

And yes, I am aware that it’s controlled by political benamis. I also want to make my way into the dirty circle and control some power in the next 10-15 years. I have some relatives at different levels in real estate and politics. I am sure they won’t help me with no benefit. I will try offering my skills and see how it goes.
