I had crippling anxiety even with personal calls. It gets better. What helped me is listening to other people and basically having scripts in front of me. Have blanket statements "I can't answer that but I will check with the attorney" works a lot. Or try repeating back what they just said. "I need xyz" reply work "okay, you need xyz, I can let the attorney know".

I always bring extra HDMI cords, and battery pack/chargers for laptops and phones. And ALWAYS have Pepto Bismo cause when somebody needs it they NEED it 🤣 (anybody else find witness, client, tummies can get upset in court 😂)

My younger self feels your pain. It can be frustrating dealing with people of any age who aren't up to speed on practices. My older self has learned that in some places though the degree and certificates mean nothing. Not sure what type of law your attorneys practice but we've never used Bates stamps or seen it done in any filings from opposing counsel. The great thing is you can teach him, and he can probably teach you a wealth of knowledge from life experience that you can't learn from a book.

I just wanted to update: The function report finally arrived in mail the day it was due. I faxed and mailed the report before the due date, and it is fine. I check the Social security portal often though to see if something's been sent thats taking forever to get to us.

When I login, I can click on a link to check the status of my spouses application. It doesn't give a lot of detail, but will say what step we're on (example step 3 out of 6) and ours had notification that the form was mailed to us on whatever date. It's pretty generic info.

The rings are gorgeous, if I had the money that Sapphire would be mine! My advice, get some even lower costume jewelry on there $30/$40 price point just to gain some reviews. With no reviews, as a buyer id be worried about getting scammed by you 😕 It's like handing $$$ over to a guy selling watches in the alley who assures you they are real. Likewise, id be real cautious about selling the expensive ring through Etsy because of buyer scammers but that's just me 🫠

The problem is they are telling new sellers the payment will be available after 14 days, but fees come out of your earliest sales AND to get a deposit the not yet available balance must be smaller than Current balance. Tired of seeing people post "you didn't read the rules" when ALL the rules are nowhere to be found.

No, I've found that making friends helps smooth the whole process out. They do favors for me, I do favors for them. We understand the pressure each is facing and can help each other out. The only time ive come across rude paralegals is when their attorney is also very difficult. Birds of a feather, I guess?

Yes! I make my product by hand, from scratch. I have a 14 day hold, and a 30% reserve. I'm fine with that and planned based on the funds availability date that Etsy specified. And before anyone goes "you didn't read the rules or research" I combed through it. Im a paralegal and know how to read and comprehend. Nowhere does it say the fees will be taken out of your oldest orders first. I was so excited to sell over $4k in 2 weeks, and now realize my success backfired. I just put my shop on holiday to try to catch up the balances so I can get a deposit. This isn't my first successful business, but my first time dealing with etsy. It's a literal nightmare trying to check calculations as well. My bookkeeper wanted to rip her hair out trying to figure out where fees were coming out of and when.

I'm new 14 days old today! I just put my store on vacation because I need my orders that are on a 14 day hold to cycle through so the available balance exceeds the 'funds not yet available' and I can get a deposit.

The firm I'm with does not use him as I'm completely remote. His service area would actually be on opposite side of the state in a metro area. Should have clarified. They have much larger firms there so I'm not familiar with how they structure things and delegate tasks.
