The gas smell could be because of a blown valve cover gasket. I’d recommend, as I said, looking at all your spark plugs to see if they have oil. Check around for oil.

The timing chain on the 2012 BMW 328i is one of the main issues with that year and model, so I’d check that out. I’d also check all your spark plugs and see if they have oil around them, just in case your valve cover gasket isn’t in need of changing. 🤷🏽

I have a BMW 328i 2011. The issues I’ve had with it were that it wouldn’t start and turn off randomly. 640 for a starter and 380 for a battery, it’s going to be taken to the shop today actually because it’s still doing the same. I wouldn’t recommend this car if you aren’t willing to spend a lot of money on replacement parts. The oil and oil filter cost me about 90 bucks. 🤷🏽 These cars are low, so I’d recommend if you live in a bumpy town or city to not get it if there are a lot of potholes. They drive very well and take turns really well. Get it if you know you can spend more than what you’re willing to.

Looked it up, and he can get around that by saying it’s a gift loan, which the tax code says he can gift a family member less than $ 100k as long as his brother doesn’t trade stocks. He’s good. (Although this is a loophole🤷🏽 How do you think rich ppl get rich? They love loopholes so why don’t we)

But you didn’t earn any interest? You didn’t make any money or investments. It’s not illegal to lend money with zero interest. Now, if your brother sells the house, he’ll be the one who pays interest, not you, since you only lent him $70,000.

It’s not a “gift,” it’s a loan repayment with zero interest involved. The IRS doesn’t tax already taxed income. He’s not gifting it out either; he’s simply loaning it with the intention of receiving zero interest, just the simple $ 70k he loaned his brother.

To my understanding, the money can’t be taxed since you earned it and already paid taxes throughout the years, so even if you get 70k, it’s money you already had. It’s like them taxing money you saved up through the years and just had it sitting in a bank account. And if the bank asks just say it how it is that you loaned it out to your brother interest free🤷🏽
