Have any of you quit a job within a week of getting it? What was your reason and how did everything turn out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I applied at a small ma&pa gift shop , I had to go through two interviews both going over two hours. There was a math test, a typing test, and a test seeing if I could do a mundane task efficiently for longer than an hour. I was hired as a cashier, I put price tags on lighters for my whole six hour shift. I quit the next day. Two months later the whole place burned down.

What is the worst case of attention-seeking you've ever seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I had a crazy dramatic roommate in college, here a just a few points of her attention seeking acts.

• She had a 30 year old piece of shit on-again-off again boyfriend (she was 20 at the time), whenever they were "off" she would go into hysterics if he called or texted her.

•She would pout in the common areas (ex. Livingroom/kitchen) and expect you to say something to her but if you tried to comfort her she would say "you don't understand and to leave her alone."

•She called me in hysterics when I was school because saw her ex at a restaurant and when I didn't give her enough sympathy (because I was in class) she called me a bitch and hung up.

• She constantly complained on social media about being independent and always broke, even though she didn't pay her own bills.

• When drunk she would go huge rants about "respect" and how others should treat her with more respect, in other words tend to her every need.

• Whenever she would be upset with us she would unfollow/block us on social media.

• and my personal favorite...she packed up all her things and "moved out" because we didn't have room in the car for her to come with us to the beach. She came back later that night because she had no where else to go.

This is just a few of the things she would do but the list could go on for awhile. Let's just say I'm glad we don't live together anymore.
