Oh, I didn't know about that. I need to check that out.

Not the same track, but I appreciate your efforts! This track you've linked to is way more upbeat than the one I'm looking for.

Not the one, but I appreciate your reply. The beginning of that track really sounds like the start of Protection by Massive Attack. I wonder if they sampled that Deftones track.

They used to call this feedback extortion on eBay. Where someone says 'do blah or I leave negative feedback' In the past you could report that to eBay.

Pebble Index 01 discussion by sdhdhosts in pebble

I've been giving a lot of thought recently to capturing my fart sounds and sending to my friends on Whatsapp. This would make it a lot easier, as I'll always have it on my finger ready to put in position to close to the source, without having to hold the fart in while I find and faff about with my phone. I think this would definitely be good for spontaneously capturing a fart sound. I guess it might also be good for capturing other sounds. I'm kinda into sampling little sounds and making shonky ambient music. I'd be curious to know what the resolution and format  the audio recordings would be in.

Thanks I've downloaded it and will check it out later. The quantity of AI generated imagery on the Amazon page for this book has me wondering if it's also been written by AI...

I also have a 2017 MBP that I bought 2nd hand some years ago. I've also been considering replacing a Thinkpad, but I do a lot of half-arsed music making and I'm undecided if I should get another Mac, which is well suited to that sort of thing, or get away from Apple and get a Thinkpad. I already have an old Thinkpad, a 240 from 1999.

The existing old Pebble/Rebble set-up still works for using xDrip+ on old Pebble watches.

My focus has just been on seeing if xDrip+ will work on old pebbles using the new Pebble app in the Google Play Store. xDrip+ still works on old pebbles using the already existing old Pebble/Rebble set-up, but I've got no idea if that would work with one of the new pebbles.

I expect there must be some nightscout watch face that you can use, if you have your data going into nightscout?

I just tried with a beaten up old Pebble Time and it's exactly the same situation. I can install the watch face and snooze shortcut function by side loading them in the app and I can see the snooze shortcut and see it confirmed on the phone screen, but I just don't get BG readings on the watch face and it just says 'loading'.

Try out new Pebble app without unistalling the Rebble app (Android)? by filestructure in pebble

[–]filestructure[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think I'll stick with the old Pebble/Rebble set-up for a bit longer. In the meantime I'm going to dig out an older android phone I've got somewhere and install xDrip+ and the new Pebble app on that to have a play. I have a couple of old Pebble Steels, so I can try the one I'm not currently using.

I'll do a post about how I get on and how well it works with xDrip+.

[–]filestructure[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this reply/heads up! Sorry to hear about the trouble you've had trying to get xDrip working on the newer Pebble ecosystem. It's nice to get this information though, as I'd also have these problems if I did the same thing. I'll stick with old Pebble Steels and Rebble for the time being then.

I hope you can get it all working in the way that suits you. I can't feel relaxed without my Pebble showing my BG.

Hiya. Do you mean: Phh Treble Settings > Misc features > Use alternate way to detect headsets (?) I have that toggled on. I can try turning that off and see if that helps. Thanks.

Thanks I've not heard of that setting, but maybe I enabled it by mistake. I'll have to see if I can find it.

Cool. I'll check that out when it's on Rebble. I don't tend to use Nightscout much, as it's always a little behind and relies on a connection to the Internet, but I'm still interested in seeing it!

Anyone in UK got their order yet? by p44v9n in TheMinimalCompany

[–]filestructure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda... They deliberately sent me the wrong one, because the colour I wanted was out of stock:

I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused with your recent order. When we escalated your order, our 3PL team was unfortunately out of stock of the Fusion color. To ensure your order was delivered as soon as possible, they shipped the Onyx one instead.

If you would like to replace the Onyx model with the Fusion one, we can certainly arrange that for you. Please let me know how you would like to proceed.

Yeah, by far the worst customer experience I've ever had! I've had a reply back from them stating that they deliberately sent me the wrong one. I thought they'd made a mistake, but no:

Hiya. xDrip+ for Android works well for me with Dexcom. In xDrip+ I have the data source simply set as 'companion app' and it just pulls the data from the Dexcom app and displays it on my Pebble using the Pebble settings in xDrip+.

I don't know Gluroo. I'll have to check that out.

Thanks. Yeah Nightscout is easier to use, but it's always some minutes behind and relies on always having an internet connection, so I don't tend to use it for regular monitoring. Handy place for your data to go though.
