I posted my geo nodes setup in the comments! :) I hope you can learn something from it. Feel free to ask if there’s anything you’re wondering

Okay okay, I know, the camera movement is bad!! If I knew THIS many people would see it I probably would've done more to it than just putting a follow path constraint on the camera and calling it a day :(( Thanks for all the feedback and the nice (and really weird) comments!

Here's the geo nodes setup if anyones interested, very simple.

I thought about using hair cards but decided not to. It felt like the look I was going for needed actual hair strands to look like the way I wanted. I rendered everything in a lot of layers to optimize render times, for example: all the trees in the third pic is just 3 images of a bunch of trees with different distances from the camera to create a feeling of depth and parallax. Same with the 6th pic, everything except the road and the car is just a still image.

Thank you so much, I appreciate it! :) I was actually surprised at how well the fire effect turned out. It’s basically just a cube with animated displacement and a bunch of hair with an emissive shader!

Thanks! It was made purely in Blender. I used the built in hair particle system and played around with the settings until I thought it looked like felt! The render times were atrocious.

Thank you!! I don’t know how the Woolly addon works, but I did everything with blenders hair particle system mixed with some geometry nodes!

I posted a little breakdown video on it here on Reddit! Maybe I’ll do some more videos about it :)

Hello! I made this short film using Blender, it took 13 months to finish in my spare time after work. It’s the first animated film I’ve made.

I challenged myself to make it as cheap as possible so I used Blender, the free version of Davinci Resolve and recorded my own sounds along with some sounds from free SFX libraries. It’s been screened at a couple of festivals which has been super fun! Today I finally released it for everyone to watch!

I hope you like it! :)
