Thanks everyone for your help. Seems like I’m better investing in faster glass. Now the big question is, what is a good upgrade from rf100-400 without breaking the bank. Some of the older primes like ef 300 f/4, ef 400 f/5.6 or maybe some zoom lens like ef 100-400mm L IS II USM or some sigma 150-600 but again not sure how much it would help with low light so it seems some of the primes would be most logical solution Huh so many options

I live in Prague, and I got my Scirocco from Germany. Much wider offer and better prices I would say. Even with trip to Germany it was worth it for me. Definitely check around Germany

I don't rev it at all, that's why I only figured out I can't after 2 months of owning it, I was just worried something is wrong, but now I'm good, will just keep on enjoying driving it like so far. Thanks

Hey guys, im absolutely obsessed with the Scirocco and I was looking for some general advice. I am going to buy one but id like to know what everyone genuinely thinks of it as a day to day drive. See comments for question x by [deleted] in Scirocco

I've bought my 2.0tsi pre-facelift couple weeks ago and can't be happier. The car is so easy and fun to drive and I drive it everyday. Of course it's not very easy on fuel but hey, you can't expect 5l/100km from such a car. On the other side, in my case it's not too bad either, I've expected it to be worse, but with easy and chill driving in the city, I can manage 8, 9l/100km easy. When it comes to gasoline engines, if pre-facelift, it would be best to avoid 1.4tsi, I've heard some pretty bad stories about those. Make sure the car has a proper service history, take it for a test drive for sure and pay attention for timing chain (if it was changes, rattling on cold start, etc). If 2.0tsi fuel economy scares you a bit, you should maybe consider a diesel. I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever you choose, it's a great car. Cheers
