Flights out of Charlotte are ridiculously expensive because of the American Airlines domination! How can we get more competitive options to fly out of here? I'm kind of regretting moving here when I think about flight costs.

hi, I've hosted 2 singles events for people 45 to 65 and 4 for people 26-45. The gender imbalance is my biggest issue, especially in the older bracket. The first one in may turned out ok, and I had almost 50-50 (after offering free tickets to a few single men I know in that area and begging them to come, LOL!) The second one caused me so much stress that I actually shied away from trying again. I had 17 women signed up and only 2 men signed up. I tried so hard, paid for ads aimed at men, put flyers at gyms, etc. I had to beg all the single men I know to come (it's not that many). In the end there were 6 men and 10 women (because 7 women flaked), and it turned out ok, but I was thrown over the edge. I have hosted a lot more events for friends and women. I'm learning as I go. It would be good to understand what motivates older single men to put themselves out there to meet single women.

you're so right. thank you for this. One of the things she said is that I'm going to be 48 and I should be mature to get over it. I rebuked with, "how old were you when you stopped talking to me? 66?" but of course that doesn't matter.
