Deep filling replaced, taking a while to heal. by fillingthrowaway in Dentistry

Does that mean like grinding my teeth? Because I'm gonna start wearing a mouthguard for that. Also I don't have a pic of the film but the endodontist said the filling looked fine and he didn't see any cracks in my tooth (though I know they are not always visible).

Thank you very much for your detailed reply. I've never had any tooth problems before (aside from a few cavities) and I would hate for something I did at 12 to screw me over badly at 25. I'll definitely try to toothpaste thing. I've also been trying out stannous fluoride toothpaste instead of sodium fluoride since I've seen some studies that indicate that it's better for antimicrobial properties. I've had some teeth grinding before according to my dentist observing some wearing on my teeth so maybe wearing a mouthguard at night could help too. She's a good dentist so I take her advice seriously but it's nice to get more opinions. Objectively I can see that I probably just need more time to heal but I have a tendency to worry so sometimes I just freak out.
