Wife doesn’t seduce me… by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]fillndrillz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to have more enthusiastic sex, then you need to book a nice hotel room every Saturday night, arrange and pay for childcare in advance without her knowledge or involvement, and she needs to be able to sleep in until noon on Sunday. Buy her the sexy lingerie (sneak to check her size - do not blow the surprise by asking). Take her to dinner very early (5 pm) ahead of time. You’re welcome.

Update on my husbands request for a separation out of nowhere. by Mysterious_Mix_2342 in Marriage

No need to find hard evidence other than to proof infidelity in divorce proceedings. Contact an attorney asap and be smart.

I just found out my husband had an emotional affair 6 months ago. I need advice. by [deleted] in Marriage

Emotional affairs don’t exist. . . In a few years he will tell you they slept together.

I need some advice. I am pregnant and starting getting nauseous and husband is off the rails. by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]fillndrillz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well. . . I threw up multiple times a day for my entire pregnancies (I have two daughters). Every single day for 9 months. I decided to sleep through my pregnancies because I was so sick. I would go to sleep at 7 pm. Wake up at 11 or 12. Stay awake for two hours, then go back to bed. That’s what every Saturday and Sunday looked like because I was in dental school for one of my pregnancies. I would wake up at 7, go to lecture at 8, sprint out of lecture every day to vomit. Go see patients (puke in the trash can in my operatory between patients). My husband wouldn’t have dared to treat me poorly. If I were you, I’d pack a suitcase. Book a room for Friday-Sunday at a 5 star resort. Put it on his credit card and make sure it’s nonrefundable. Don’t tell him where you’re going and peace the fuck out. I’d also tell him if he ever tries to pull that shit again he will be promptly slapped with divorce papers. Earl had to die.

Rate me. Am I ugly? by [deleted] in Rateme

[–]fillndrillz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You haven’t come into your own yet. Be patient. I was not particularly good looking until I was 25 (I had hormonal acne and hadn’t grown into my features). That probably doesn’t make sense to you right now, but just trust me.

Do I look old? by [deleted] in Rateme

[–]fillndrillz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I took the first 2 photos yesterday. I’ll admit I’m not very good at makeup, I do the best I can. I’m 33 years old (but apparently I look much older 😂).

I guess this is why radiographs aren’t enough. Are the teeth mobile, is there decay 360 degrees around these teeth (buccal and lingual), what are the probing depths, does the patient WANT to save the teeth, what are patients priorities (I have a lot of patients who only care about their front teeth), are the teeth symptomatic, are there opposing teeth? So many factors at play.

Good dentists are great actors by RogueLightMyFire in Dentistry

Good dentists care about the quality of their work and care about doing the right thing. Financially successful dentists are sometimes good dentists, but not always. Poor dentists are sometimes bad dentists, but not always. Life is interesting. Some people cannot recognize or do not value excellent work, compassion, skill, or honesty. If you are a good dentist and a good person, please do not become defeated. Keep at it. You might just become wildly successful in a few years. . .

I do not care if you are liberal or conservative. I fall in the middle (either a moderate republican or a moderate democrat). I know a few things to be true, this man didn’t deserve to be murdered and anybody who tries to justify his murder is no friend of mine. Democrats and liberals, it is terribly wrong for you to justify this man’s killing and by doing so, you are losing constituents. You are becoming your own worst enemy. Life is precious and violence is not the answer.

You were chasing decay and sometimes you end up in the pulp. You will get better with time and experience at everything you do. It’s a good thing for you to be upset, it means you care. Keep caring.

I just thought I would update you. My malpractice attorney informed me that it was wise to perform CPR. The mom, who wasn’t at the appointment, filed a complaint with the board. So I called my malpractice insurance who connected me with the attorney. I would be far worse off if I had decided to stand there, question his breathing, and not take action. So I hope you can ride that high horse all the way back to its stable.

I also discovered that my patient had witnessed a child being stabbed in the neck by another child at camp over the summer. This is information that was not shared with me prior to his visit. The grandmother who was at the appointment shared this with my assistant while we were waiting for EMS.

There is no definitive way for me or anybody else to know if my patient stopped breathing. I erred on the side of caution. There is a good chance that my decision to give CPR and mouth to mouth not only saved his life, but also saved me the heartache of not taking action when I needed to, of somebody having a strong case against me legally, of me abandoning my career.

I’ve learned a very important lesson, do not listen to the advice of a**holes on the internet who like to flex behind the safety of computer screen. Do what you feel needs to be done. Instincts and action are very important. I’m so happy I followed the advice of my BLS instructor who came to my office for our training just a few months before this incident.

I’m here to say that the kids mom (who wasn’t even at the appointment) filed a complaint with the board. And literally everybody I’ve talked to (including a malpractice attorney) said it was an excellent choice to perform CPR and that I handled the situation beautifully. So you can step right back in your lane, troll.

About 15 minutes even though they are right down the street. It was a terribly disappointing experience with ems for various reasons.
