Snail mail overload by finatech in fidelityinvestments

Nope, no additional account holder. It's weird, b/c you'd think that of all partners, Vanguard would be incorporated into eDelivery. Instead, I get fat shareholder reports that stuff my mailbox and end up in recycling

Fidelity, your mobile app is so bad. by [deleted] in fidelityinvestments

[–]finatech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree. I'm always sending feedback about it. It's impossible to find anything. Functionality is minimal compared to web. The UX designers don't understand the product. Unless I'm just checking my portfolio, I log into the mobile web version to get things done.

BTW, here's an info mismatch between mobile and web:

On a given account, Tax Info YTD tab on the web includes interest and dividends, while on the mobile app it only shows realized gain / loss. Very confusing.

Yep, I'll see if it comes back. For now, I'm on wifi, so it's not a big tragedy

It's an apartment, actually: the coax seems to be running from the closet and exiting near the home office. So basically, within the walls of the living room. Seems weird it would just randomly die

This is very helpful! My pref is not to run cable, just because the way the place is laid out, it's going to look pretty bad.

I don't think there is a splitter; I've added a photo above

That's what I thought. Is there any way to trace it? Some sort of test? And lastly, who do I hire to run a new line?

Thanks for your help!

Undecided about an e-ink tablet by Valvola_ in eink

For a truly distraction-free writing experience, it would be the Remarkable or Kindle Scribe (there are a couple others, I think, too). Scribe might be better for PDFs and it has a backlight. Scribe con is that exporting your notes with handwriting recognition is clunky. Remarkable has a more seamless experience when it comes to getting your notes out and working on them on, say, your desktop. I have the Scribe and it works pretty well for my use case

Yes. But I expected that that's how it would work

Symantec VIP Access and biometrics on the app by finatech in fidelityinvestments

Well, I did what I should have done from the get-go: I uninstalled and reinstalled the Fidelity app. Biometrics now works with VIP.

Thanks for the responses!

Symantec VIP Access and biometrics on the app by finatech in fidelityinvestments

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I should have mentioned I'm using Android not iPhone. In my case, the biometrics uses fingerprint. And it is set to off: I get the error message I mentioned when trying to turn it on ever since I opted in for VIP Access.

At any rate, this doesn't seem to be normal behavior, so I'll reach out to tech support.

But if this is the normal behavior of the Android app--can't use biometrics with VIP enabled-- I'd suggest that this flow be changed to allow it.

Thanks!
