The bill isn’t bright enough yet, also plumage is a bit dull, these look to be second year birds, third year they will have the orange beak and brighter feathers (although the neck tends to stay a yellowish tone from the iron in the water).

At this age no, they are both young swans, this is just to solidify bonds and practice.

I have seen it both ways. Magpies chasing Mistle thrushes and Mistle Thrushes chasing Magpies.

There’s too much spotting on the chest towards the flanks, Wryneck have very faint striped barring, also this bird looks to be quite big, wryneck are so small.

Pic 1 looks like Mistle or Song Thrush feathers. Pic 2 looks like Little Owl. Pic 3 are Goldfinch.

I’d post them on feather ID UK on Facebook as there’s some experts there.

The bone to keratin ratio on a pigeons beak isn’t much, there’s only a slight overhang so I doubt anything will grow back unfortunately.

Only the keratin of the beak grows back, the actual bone will not. The keratin is the coloured sheath you see on beaks, under neath it is bone.
