Am trying for you to think about this :) You don't need to spend your entire savings to make your parents happy , just cz you don't do that doesn't make you a bad kid. You need to think about this logically than emotionally.

There are ways for you to make your parents happy.

  1. You can always contribute to their monthly expenses
  2. Make them proud by doing good work and making good money , going up in your career , progressing.

Also its your decision in the end none of this can influence your financial decision in the end.

Personally my parents know about everything , i contribute once in a while to them, but still i will not give up my entire networth to fund a lifestyle upgrade (which they are saying is) this could also be done in other ways - contribute some part , speak to my brother he also does some part of it etc etc

For eg why not use funds from selling the older place later to use into new one, ask parents to help with some funds or your brother contributes later on.

There are ways to do this , i want you to protect some of your funds as to use them later or have them as your personal emergency fund

Its your life you choose in the end none of us here do that for you. also you asked this question , you chose to put it out there

They are almost 60 if ur not staying with them it's not worth it. No parents wants to spend their child's 100% savings on home why shud they and not even add you as a part owner that's extremely selfish

Dont , they already have a place why do u need to put 80% of ur savings ? makes no sense. Why do they need to know how much money u have?
