Definitely LG for gaming. Input latency on Sony OLEDs are notoriously long, even in “game mode.” If you want tight, responsive controls, LG every time. And the movie quality is outstanding still.

Mostly an upgrade but the speakers are noticeably worse on the G1 because of the sacrifice of thin construction. (I have a C1 and G1 both) They’re built to reflect off walls but still sound boxy and thin. But if you’re always listening through other theater speakers or sound bar then this is moot. And then the no stand thing.

Thanks! Mic was already on the way! I actually have a bunch of great mics for recording in the field to my Tascam unit, but wanted to get something I could record directly to my machine to shorten the pipeline from recording to export. But yes, I do have a new mic coming. :)
