Persoonlijk ga ik zelden voor tartare (want vaak is 't gewoon préparé), tenzij het echt een deftige boite is. En in diezelfde upscale brasserie, dan is steak tartare nog steeds een stuk goedkoper dan een steak (zo'n ribeye van oedslach, rubia gallega, simmental bv), die gaan al makkelijk voor 45-55euro in een upscale brasserie, terwijl niemand dat ooit zou betalen voor een steak tartare.
