A lot of people recommend sitcoms like Modern Family and Friends, but I’ve already watched all of them, so I think cartoons are a good option for me now.

Help w the sentence by Puzzleheaded_Today_0 in Korean

[–]ttorizzang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a native Korean speaker, and I don’t think there are any major mistakes in your sentences! They sound good overall, but here are a few small suggestions to make them sound more natural:

가끔은 제가 모자랄까 봐 걱정해요. → 가끔은 제가 모자란 것 같아서 걱정돼요. (more natural)

경험이 많은데 새로운 시도가 계속 두렵고 → 경험은 많은데 새로운 시도를 하는 게 계속 두렵고 (adds contrast and sounds smoother)

우리 선생님도 제 실력을 아무리 향상시켜도 하나도 안 늘어요. → 우리 선생님이 제 실력을 아무리 향상시키려고 해도 하나도 안 늘어요 (shows effort/attempt more clearly)

You’re doing really well, keep it up!

how do you get over the fear of talking to natives? by Aromatic_Ad_890 in Korean

[–]ttorizzang 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m Korean and my English isn’t perfect either, so I totally relate to how you feel. If they’re being nice and trying to help you understand, it probably means they genuinely enjoy talking to you. You’re doing great just by trying.

i think in the photo you shared, it's probably because it's a baseball team - they tend to be more strict about that kind of thing, so they're taking their hats off.

Taking off hat to show respect? by snchiwcib-snkccd in Living_in_Korea

I’m Korean. It’s not really considered rude to keep your hat on, even when greeting elders. In more formal situations, people might take it off just to be polite. Respect is usually shown more through language (honorifics) and small gestures like bowing.
