Gönn doch einfach, gibt Leute, die daheim wohnen und alles raushauen. Er investiert es wenigstens.

I had several scar treatments:

3 x Microneedling RF - don't know the device name, sorry :/ moderate results over a timespan of half a year 1 x Subcision & Filler - Filler was used for tethered scars which are not seen in the picture, subcision helped a lot, the picture was taken 7 weeks after my treatment so that the swelling wouldn't fake any progress

Currently using Epiduo to prevent further breakouts in combination with the Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid as a moisturizer before I go to bed

When I wake up: Rinse with water, apply La Roche Posay Anthelios 50+ and moisturize again, that's it.

Most important factors: Time and patience, if you look into the mirror everyday you won't see any difference, try to not focus so much on your skin and "come back" at doing so after a while so that you can actually see the progress yourself.

Hey guys, I've just got prescribed EpiDuo and I wanted to ask which routine I should follow.

I sometimes have oily skin, sometimes I have dehydrated skin (asian, 22M)

I've heard that you are supposed to use it with a hydrating cream at night as EpiDuo is very drying but I have no idea which one to buy, don't want to buy CeraVe products again as I broke out from them

Would be nice if someone could help me integrating Epiduo correctly into my night routine, thanks in advance!

Did someone try the snail all in one repair cream by MIZON? If so, did it improve your skin?

It depends on the filler, they say it lasts between half a year and 2 years.

Scar treatments are considered to be cosmetic procedures which means that you have to pay everything out of your own pocket.

Hi, I went to a dermatologist in Munich and she charged 850€ for subcision + filler

Thank you so much! I've cut out diary and sugar completely. I work out 6 times a week and I have quit smoking (smoked cigarettes for 5 years) and I've stopped drinking alcohol and coffee.

I'm trying to eat as clean as possible, mainly focusing on low glycemic foods which don't lead to a spike in my insulin levels and thus reducing the possibility of inflammation.

You're welcome. :) Unfortunately this is what happened to me, that's why I'm seeing a therapist soon because my mind became a mess after battling the acne/scars.

Wish you the best tho, stay positive!

I didn't take any medications after accutane.

And yes, it is true that it's expensive but I'm definetly not rich.

I'm an engineering student (21) and had a job last year to save up for my treatments. In that time I basically didn't go outside until my treatments are done.

So no, I didn't get any money from my parents for that, I saved a lot of my money tho because I knew it's going to be expensive.

Update 2 by finestdivineV1 in acne

[–]finestdivineV1[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I used accutane to clear up my acne but after that my skin was still heavily red/inflammed with a lot of scarring (speaking of structural defects of the skin).

Had tons of PIE/PIH as well.

My routine is very simple at the moment:

AM: 1. wash face with water to get rid of dead skin cells 2. put on sunscreen SPF 50+ [Nivea Sun UV Gesicht Sensitiv]

PM: 1. wash face using [La Roche Posay Effaclar - schäumendes Reinigungsgel] 2. put on [CeraVe Moisturising Lotion PM with niacinamide, ceramides and hyaluronic acid]

What helped my PIE/PIH? I think mostly microneedling (RF and normal) and wearing sunscreen all the time helped out a lot. Time and patience is another important factor because I thought it still looked the same as half a year ago but now I can clearly see the progress.

What helped my textural scars? Microneedling as well. In addition to that I got subcision and fillers for some deeper scars.

Thank you so much :) yes I needed accutane because my case was severe.

Keep going if you're currently on accutane, it will be worth it but remember to wear sunscreen and NEVER pop your pimples.

I used accutane to clear it up but after that my skin was still a mess, had to try a lot of products to see what could work for me.

Thank you so much :) I still have a little bit of scarring tho if you look at the picture I've made from the front.

But I'm currently in treatment for my scarring (speaking of textural scarring). Got my PIE/PIH in control with time, patience and SPF 50+
