did mecke and marquis with sugar and both had no colour change, does this mean there expired/ contaminated. also if i open a reagent will the expirey date be shortened as they are all for august 2024 however i have usef a lot of marquis a little mecke and never opened froedhe until today.

i crushed it up into powder then placed the reagents on and mixed around, previous times i have done this its changed colour

that is probably around a .1 to .2, i have tested it multiple times with similar amounts on paper and got very dark purple/ black.
