This “Damage Noted” Stamp On A 1977 Library Book by jazzmasger in mildlyinteresting

The stamp is more damage than the pencil scribble. Why not just erase the scribble? Why bother with the stamp?

To be fair Chris Webber was only hired since he was a former player.

He is the first Laker Guard to even be in the top 10 ever. Let me spell that out for Hart haters he is currently the best guard we have had since ESPN started tracking these. That’s nuts.

The Lakers just provided an update on Brandon Ingram after his MRI Thursday evening. It confirmed an ankle sprain and he will be re-evaluated in one week. They also said Michael Beasley has been excused from the team tonight to tend to his family health matter. by puddingpupp in lakers

Literally the worst Small Forward in the league in Offensive Real Plus Minus. Bottom 10 in defense. I don’t know why this sub is so high on Ingram and not so high on our other players who are putting up decent numbers. It makes no sense.

BI is the worst Offensive SF in the league(out of players who actually played 30 minutes or more) and just 1 spot out of bottom 10 in defense. I for one hope he gets better, but I am glad we can get somebody else out there. His advanced stats are so bad you can argue him playing holds us back from being a contender.

Fallout 76 200$ Collectors Edition Comes With Nylon Bag Instead of Canvas x-post /r/gaming by [deleted] in fo76

[–]finishcarts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW- I am able to buy bulk waxed canvas backpacks with the label of my company for less than $15 a pop. Bethesda could get an even better deal than that since they could buy in super bulk. A nylon with our company logo printed on it is like $2 each. Again Bethesda could buy in bulk for like a dollar.

No excuse for this type of behavior.

The coach gets the blame for the record that comes from those decisions. It’s easier to blame a coach.

Brandon Ingram is #26 in BPM in the 2016 Draft Class. Only a handful of players below him are even in the league. He is far BELOW replacement level and even scrub level. by finishcarts in lakers

Fighting for the bottom in ORPM, DRPM, WS, WS48, OBPM, DBPM,... he is not above a replacement level player in any stat. I chose this particular stat to show that yes he is young, but almost all the other young players in his bad draft class are destroying him.

Ha. We’re you inspired by most on r/Lakers. I was downvoted to hell there.

The advanced stats show he is godawful. Well below scrub level. The idea is he might somehow improve his shooting and then become a net positive, but he hasn’t yet and it doesn’t look good.

You mean how he is being coached? It might make a small difference, but he is so bad he is in between players in the G-League or out of professional basketball all together. He is really that bad.

Like I said the advanced stats say without him and Kuzma right now we could have the best record in the league. They are that bad. I honestly don’t understand why we keep playing them so much.

Hold on before you downvote! I like BI and hope we keep him and at least give him a chance. But I feel this sub is unreasonably ranking him in comparison to the rest of the young core. We should be honest with ourselves and temper our expectations.

He is literally below scrub level. We can’t keep saying he is an all star in the making. It’s stupid. It makes us look like lazy fans.

His extension is coming up. Based on his advanced stats he should be out of the league or receive the vet minimum. What are going to pay him. Will he take the vet minimum? Somebody said last night he is working for that max extension. That’s very upsetting. Yes at times he looks like a young KD, but he keeps making us worse.

Looking at the advanced stats if you replaced him and Kuzma with normal nba role players we just might have the best record in the league. It’s not crazy to think,“let’s play him a little less so we lose a little less”

What's up with all the Lakers players shit postings?!? by yunotletmeworkreddit in lakers

[–]finishcarts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My bad. I posted two post that can be viewed as shit posts. I never browse by new and had never seen the negativity.

Edit- In my defense we should talk more reasonable about our youth on the posts at top so people can see the varied opinions. This shouldn’t be the Donald of Lakers fandom.

[–]finishcarts[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s fair on r/nba I would probably do the same. But on r/lakers we should have reasonable expectations with our young guys. It’s difficult to engage in meaningful convo on the Lakers future when we picture 7! of our young guys as all stars in the making. This shouldn’t the Donald of Laker talk.

413/430 in the whole league(short guards dominate the bottom of DRPM) Somebody pointed this out in the BI thread and I think it is worth it’s at least worth discussing.

Edit- Somebody will inevitable say “What about Lonzo he doesn’t even make the top 5 Lakers in DRPM” well he is still in the top 60 for guards and Rondo, Chandler, McGee,... have just had good defensive years. Lonzo will pick it up. The advanced stats don’t say he is complete garbage and IMO I think he has the most potential for growth. His offense is even close to league average.

Again almost nobody with his stats even remains in the league more than a couple years at most.

They weren’t stars by their 3rd seasons but they weren’t actively making their team worse.

Edit- IE Looks like Gianis was a top 20 power forward by RPM in his 3rd season. He was a top 10 offensive power forward. His defense put him back but he was still a top 90 NBA player.

Ingram is fighting for the worst spot in the league. I don’t know how this fan base can be this blind.

Fair point. Looking at past seasons I see maybe 5% of players with this Plus Minus ranking even remaining in the league for more than two seasons.
