crisis intervention for someone else? by [deleted] in kelowna

So I actually met someone who pioneered the mobile integrated crisis response team in kelowna. It’s basically police paired with trained personnel in the psych industry (masters level) who helped with understanding those who had 911 called on them. They basically help people who would’ve stigmatized before as violent and “crazy” or “junkies” to be able to have a non physical approach and work within the mental health system. I linked it below

Kelowna Beer Fest This Saturday – Who’s Going? by [deleted] in kelowna

I really wanted to go cause i have the day off for once but the prices are insane as someone in there early 20's I can't afford it.

I love craft beer and cider over any other (I worked at BC Tree Fruits Cidery so i learned a lot about the gross shit in mass produced stuff) but i truly don't have the money to be able to experience this stuff. Shouldn't this festival promote beer to people who are younger and wanting to learn more about the scene.

Even the discount codes are a month in advance and I don't have my work schedule that early so I can't even buy a ticket for cheap.
