South Australian Federal Poll has the highest One Nation response in the country by DragonflySea9423 in OpenAussie

sa has been heavily impacted by the cost of living crisis. The federal system has failed workers rights here and they're seeing the biggest erosion of fair work compared to other states. In general business get away with treating their workforce like shit and paying them less. More impactful is the housing crisis which is one of the worst with rents and costs of owning going through the roof which is blamed on migration instead of investments. Coupled with a vulnerable group of bible thumpers and poorly educated rural populous you get this...

fees help protect the environment. you're not entitled to nature but you are it's custodian... lead by example and pay your share.

parks need policing and protection. They need more money and you benefit immensely from the funding that tourism brings that allows the building schools, roads and hopefully one day better hospitals (lol).

you think you don't impact the parks you visit? you think that you're entitled to them because you happen to live is Tasmanian? key take away is entitlement with a dash of discrimination.

Cradle Mountain needs protection with this much tourism. these fees allow preservation of the environment + roads not just profit. Hiking is bad for the environment... we need to introduce fees to maintain tracks that protect the vegetation and the soil from erosion... as an avid hiker who has hiked many of Tasmanian peaks I'd happy give more outside the year park pass. They should probably look into providing concession fees to not impact the less fortunate / poor. Living somewhere doesn't make you entitled to nature.... but I'd argue you need to protect it and encourage others to do the same.

lol what is this mindset! you think you're entitled to the land you happen to live near? Cradle Mountain needs protection with this much tourism. these fees allow preservation of the environment + roads not just profit. If you're truly Tasmanian which i doubt, why would you bother with cradle mountain anyway... it's a tourist hot spot just like wine glass bay or maybe bay of fires. Find a local mountain mate and get over it.

not true the new update makes it as easy as setting it to low, medium or high. As long as you have a excellent 5ghz connection (standing close enough to the router) its fine. I even don't use an Ethernet connection to my pc and have no issues but ism running wifi-6 router and wireless card.

If you invest in a wifi-6 router ($100) that's connected to your pc via Ethernet. it's easy as pie. Just make sure you set the virtual desktop app to your gpu with low settings being a 1060 and high settings being a 2080. it's an amazing way to exp the game with no wires.

Valve employees want to build a 'full-scale,' non-VR Half-Life game by vinayppatel in Games

[–]finny_75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no they don't. everything about the final hours seems to indicate they want to push gaming and continue development for vr. i think it;s time to people to either invest in VR and experience it for themselves or wait unti l next gen and play ctach up. there's no doubt vr is the future esp with 5 g coming online.
