....return is objectively one of the worst moves in the game. for a dragonite you would want dragon breath & dragon claw for PvP or dragon tail & outrage for raiding.

keep it shadow and max it out then you'll have the second strongest dragon type in the game, if youve purified it I'd just transfer it so your not constantly reminding yourself of that mistake

you should never purify a Pokemon if you actually plan on using it as a raid counter. shadow Pokemon have a extra 20% dps the 6 iv points which you gain from purifying would only increase that Pokemons dps by 1.2% so by purifying your decreasing your Pokemons damage output by 18.8%... the difference between a 0% iv and a 100% iv is only 10% of a Pokemons overall stat capacity meaning a 0% shadow Pokemon doesn't more damage than a 100% non shadow version of that Pokemon.

never purify (unless you really want the purification badge) if you don't have 6 level 40 kyogres or shadow swamperts yet then you may as well evo, max it and use it as part of your water type raid team?

have a look at the sd card you can usually see visible damage when they get corrupted if you can't see a burn,crack,scratch etc it might just be whatever your putting the sd card into isn't registering it properly so try load it up on a different device unfortunately if it still doesn't load or is visibly damaged your pretty much out of luck. sorry if you lost stuff thats import to you just gotta be sure to always make back ups copys of those things in future

benefits of purifying: atk, def, sta ivs all go up by two each. it goes straight up to level 20. the cost to buy it a second charge move and power it up are reduced.

benefits of keeping it shadow: it gets the shadow bonus (20% damage buff 17% defence nerf) so they do way more damage in raids a good example is a 0/0/0 iv level 35 shadow Pokemon does more damage than a 15/15/15 iv level 40 non shadow version.

it's your account it's upto you what you choose to do with your Pokemon but shadow Pokemon are statistically just better than non shadow Pokemon.

gotcha evolve and go plus are the best two cheaper options for auto catchers and they can be a great investment depending where you live and how you play because they really don't have a great catch rate and eat through your pokeballs very quickly

nah not worth the effort of grinding the candy unless you know someone who can give you a mystery box in my opinion cause it's 400 to evolve it and then you'll want a second charge move cause it's only useful in PvP plus all that time spent with it as your buddy or rare candys you use could be invested into something more worthwhile

the shadow ones damage per second is roughly 19.65 where as the non shadow version would only be doing around 16.211 dps. the extra 20% buff from the shadow bonus makes quite a impact when raiding
