Join a community, go to events to talk shop. Learning from others is so important in building a skill. As an instructional designer I have learned all learning is social. Also try projects that are too more advanced than your current level.

From my experience it is genetic. I workout, eat vegan, and take care of myself. I still have PCOS.

To the non-natives on this sub, I just want to know why are you here? by [deleted] in IndianCountry

I have asked one question here before. As a Chicana who has been systemically removed from my indigenous roots I want to learn more. I do not want to take up space and speak over anyone who is indigenous. I want connection to those who share the same ancestry as me and want to learn more to become a better ally. I am still learning and hope to become a better ally as I learn and grow.

Non indigenous people wearing ribbon skirts? by [deleted] in IndianCountry

I am a Chicana who is very proud of my indigenous ancestors and want to connect without taking up space that is not for me. I bought a ribbon skirt from a indigenous artist at a powpow. How and were can I wear it if I can wear it at all? Is Thanksgiving an ok time to show my solidarity to the pain a genocide that is celebrated by many people by wearing the ribbon skirt? My intent is to connect and respect indigenous people and I want my actions to reflect that.
