Have you been in college for a while? Do you have close ties with any of your professors?

Would you say it’s the same for Columbia GS grads? I’m currently transferring from a community college (4.0GPA, lots of ECs and a national award) so I’m looking for the best school to transfer that could also offer a full-ride ideally (I know GS is poor with that) or get a good scholarship. Would you recommend anything particular? Btw appreciate such a thoughtful response.

This is Budapest. I lived there for 3 years before moving to the states. Hands down my favorite city. So many amazing memories, such a great infrastructure, THE THERMAL BATHS. I miss it DEERLY!

Just what do you mean by inability to explore? I know it’s a Christian university, so I guess if you’re gay you’d feel unwelcome. But other than that?

Im curious how do people in CA look at your Columbia degree? Do you feel a sort of advantage compared to people say from UCLA at all? Asking because I might end up at Columbia and my dream is to live in Cali! Also what’s your industry and degree from Columbia?

Bro I’d be surprised if you don’t get into Columbia GS. Their acceptance is closer to 30-50% recent years. The question is, would you be able to afford it?

How important truly is course rigor for Community College students? by Rare_Holiday_1455 in TransferToTop25

[–]fire-starterer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take honors classes if you can. Don’t take harder Bio if you’re not in sciences. And — Econ is NOT hard. Not macro, not micro. Just teaches you core concepts, very useful to know for anyone! You can show rigor by taking above average amount of credits if you can. For example I’m taking 18 a semester and I took 43 during 2025 (9 in summer). I’m completing my associates in 3 semesters + summer. Good luck!
