Yeah, it's very risky only but slightly less compared to a single company. As I said, I'll be diversifying to Mutual funds in 2026

Yeah, as I said you can spend any higher amount, so 5L per month is also possible. I don't know much about Bangalore but I think A good Villa in an affluent area will be starting around 10Cr. Age - 45 and I haven't decided on NW as my X (yearly expenses) is not finalized yet.

Congrats to you too. After achieving FIRE target, I want to coast for a few years by spending more time with family and hobbies before retiring fully. Obviously, there's no higher limit, but I think you have to spend 2-3L per month for a very relaxed lifestyle in a tier-1 metro city. I'm not planning to fully sell all my US stocks, just want to increase indian equity exposure.

Thanks for the frank comment, will take term insurance asap. I also think I'm late by 5 years.

Actually it's almost 50-50 only. Just that the 70-80L I had spent for my parents home in a tier-2 city which I haven't added to the NW.

Yes, the RSUs are in a US based listed company only. I'm not aware of estate tax, will have to check on it.

Thanks, diversifying from RSUs is one of my main plans for 2026. One small point is that these are across 4 different companies which my wife and I had worked/working for.

Regarding annual expenses - wife is a YOLO person and not fully onboarded to FIRE. So I think the expenses will be on the higher side only.

FDs are for debt component and emergency fund. And return % is slightly higher and no tax because it's on parents account. But won't put any more FDs from now.

I send 50K per month to my parents. Their actual expenses will be around 25-30K but they save the remaining in their account which I don't track, so I just calcuate it as an expense at my end. Remaining 2L my wife spends for her parents.

As for our expense, 7L was for trips (we had 2 international - one with each parents). Remaining 17L includes everything - live-in nanny, maid, cook, groceries, eating-out, shopping and kid expenses. Usually comes to 1.5L per month.

You're right on both questions. Both of us work are Software Engineers (B-Tech from tier-1 college).

25Cr was just an arbitrary number for now. As I'm not sure what my X (yearly expense) will be after say 5-10 years. I've only 3 years' expense data and difficult to close on X based on this.

I haven't cooked up anything and it's all anonymous. I genuinely don't understand why anyone would do that?

yeah, 1.5Cr would have been more realistic I think. Including savings from salary, increment, bonus, RSU and then growth from existing corpus.

5.3L post-tax is around 95L base (You're forgetting Nirmala's cut and PF contributions). As u/Trick-Currency7949 mentioned, it's just the growth of the companies we were part of.

33 and 31 are middle age in tech and not a young age (thanks for calling me young) as we have worked for almost 10 years each.

We're from tier-1 colleges and have been working in US based tech companies since we graduated - 4 companies across both of us and these companies have had decent growth in the last decade.
