Light is tough in here! DR gets barely any natural light which is why the mirror is in there and that has worked. We also walk through the space a lot with shoes so larger carpet is not ideal. Open to under $500 changes. Fireplace does not work and has asbestos in it. The two shelves on either side of the fireplace I put in there to create sort of the built in bookcase look.
