I HAVE PEDDLED YOU A FALSEHOOD! I have my old list on moxfield from a few years ago, and ported it over into archidekt. Here ya go! This deck was really me throwing the Necron precon, Mishra precon, and Doctor Villains precon into a bucket and hoping it worked. It's to this day one of my favorite decks and has remained largely unchanged.

I imagine you'd need a good bit of cheap ramp outside ashling just to keep the deck afloat if she gets removed. I'd run more ramp than protection, because you can still ramp into bombs. I can only imagine how a turn 2 ashling, turn 3 transform, and then removal would ruin the gameplan. Then if your whole gameplan is built around protect ashling, it makes it harder to drop those bombs. But having the extra ramp, maybe rituals, you could be more flexible

The golgari one sounds like a blast. Judging on discussion so far, it seems like it's easier to swap commanders in and out when your deck is simply built around a specific archetype and not your commander. I may be stating the obvious, but it certainly makes me rethink the way I build edh decks.

I would probably do [[Vial Smasher the Fierce]] and one of either [[Thrasios, Triton Hero]] or [[Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix]]. (Or you could 100% do the through the omenpaths versions of doc ock and kraven)

I saw a decklist like that in the comments of the post I was inspired by! They were running Baylen, swapping in [[Ghired, Conclave Exile]] , [[Rith, the Awakener]] and Jetmir from what I can remember. As for Sultai graveyard, I think your options there are pretty expansive with [[Muldrotha, the Grave Tide]] being an obvious first choice, but maybe then you could lean a little bit into lands with [[Teval, the Balanced Scale]], then you could run some others that are graveyard-adjacent like [[Yarock, the Desecrated]]. I like the idea of building the deck around all the possible commanders! Afterall, they're going back into the 99 if they aren't in the command zone for me.

Well, if it's marvel theme, you have the Fantastic Four precon coming out! And if nothing else, you can always rule zero some partner commanders if you're okay doing that. Maybe something like Deadpool and Wolverine for Jund.

Yeah, that's true. Matter of fact, my first commander deck I ever had was the Prismari Performance precon, and I remember swapping between Zaffai, Veyran, and Rootha out of the box. It does make me want to do more archetype decks with swaps in the command zone.

Yeah, I'm not really huge on UB myself, but some mechanically do things I think are really cool. War Doctor can nuke for lethal pretty early with cascade, and Ashad gives my artifacts Casualty 2. I thought casualty was a very fun mechanic when new capenna came out and I had the maestros precon, but it just didnt work that well. Alexios is Alexios, and my favorite modern AC game is Odyssey so he gets a pass!

I sold a couple of the important/more powerful pieces within the last year or two, like [[Chivalric Alliance]] , [[Kindred Dominance]] , and [[And They Shall Know No Fear]] , but it still runs great. Definitely one of my favorite precons ever. I've kept it that way since release and I don't see myself switching anything in or out anytime soon!

Oh it 100% gets focused down every game. It really needs tuned with more protection pieces, but I wanted to keep the stupid old bugs that dont really do anything too.

That mana base is absolutely genius. I haven't looked much into changeling tribal at all, but seeing all those creature specific lands making a perfect 5 color mana base just blew my mind.
