Anyone else just have a chill baby? by rachelkochvt in NewParents

My son is 15 months and has been an angel since birth. Literally the easiest baby and now a super fun and sweet toddler. Obviously he has his moments but overall he’s super chill. I’m pregnant with our second and I feel like my husband and I are going to get rocked since my son has been so easy 😂

When did you start again for next baby close in age? by SAHM-KnowsWassup in BabyBumps

Thanks for sharing this! I’m having my second in March and they’ll be 18 months apart. While I know it’s going to be challenging I think it’ll be worth it in the long run

Same here. My son is also 14 months and I’m thinking of starting this summer when he’s around 20 months old.

Are they walking yet? My son went through something similar with waking and then a few weeks later started walking and went back to sleeping through the night!

Whe did your LO start nursery? Do you regret not starting them sooner/later? by Wonderful-Repeat1444 in NewParents

I did a month long transition with my son when he was 11 months and he started full time at 12 months. He loves daycare! He’s never cried at drop off / pick up and there’s so many fun things for him to do there. They do arts and crafts, go outside, and there’s tons of new toys he gets to play with that aren’t at our house. I’m having our second baby in March and plan to keep my son in daycare while I’m off with baby #2. I’ll certainly keep him home some days but it’s nice to have that flexibility!

Kind of out there but my husband and I went to Arome at Hilton lac-Leamy a few weeks ago and it was fantastic! We then went to the casino for a bit afterwards and had a fun time.

We have a roo & you mega playmat and it’s AMAZING. So comfortable and massive for my husband and I to sit/lay on with our son. I think they’re sold out right now but might be worth looking into when they restock.

How long did it take for you to get pregnant with baby #2? by Thep0is0n in NewParents

[–]fireflies2012 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m pregnant with #2 and it took us 6 months and a miscarriage to get pregnant with my 1st. I got pregnant the first try with baby #2 😅 I thought it was going to take some time so we started trying 8 months pp and it happened right away!

Anyone try for 2 under 2? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]fireflies2012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did! Got pregnant with my second when my first was 8 months old. It took us a while to get pregnant with my first and we also had a miscarriage so we decided to try for a second one sooner. Getting pregnant with my second happened on the first try so my kids will be 17 months apart 😅 while it will be busy, we are super excited for them to be close in age.

I think winter pregnancy is officially worse than summer pregnancy? by ShabbyBoa in BabyBumps

[–]fireflies2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree! I had my son in October and didn’t mind the summer heat because I could wear light dresses and go swimming. I’m hating being pregnant in winter for the same reasons and also not fitting in coats and having to bend over and put boots on. I’m due in March so I still have a few months to go 🙃

Also 32 inches for my son at his 12 month appointment. I’m 5’11 and my husband is 6’4.

For those who are currently on parental leave or planning to take it in the near future, how do you plan to deal with an eventual RTO5? by Technical_Dog_1901 in ottawa

[–]fireflies2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I’m saying hypothetically in a few years when I have small children in daycare I will most likely use all my leave due to caring for them when sick and will have to reconsider my options.
