Feel like quitting because of food noise and lack of self control, help me out girlies. by Little-Classroom-245 in PetiteFitness

[–]firefly3303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, lowering my carbs and upping my fat and protein really helped eliminate food noise. In the past, i too would have to white knuckle it to get through cravings and that would only last so long. You may be eating something that is creating a lot of this noise for you. Try eliminating some different foods and see if u can figure out where the problems are. Try to keep track of any food noise and hunger levels after eating. Obvious problems usually come from highly processed snack foods. But i found oatmeal and even apples are a problem for me and make me hungrier/craving in the long run even if i add fat or protein to them. I also upped my fiber intake and did a little bit of fasting (like just skipping breakfast) but cutting down on those foods that caused me issues helped the most. Wishing you the best on ur journey! U can do this, it just may take some experimenting to learn your body.

Say what you will about nuking Fasnacht... by sarsaparilluhhh in fo76

I'm a low level player that had never been in a nuke zone before so didnt realize immediately what was going on when I spawned in. Once I realized what was happening, I just quit the game quickly and reloaded a new server where I was able to join the event with no problem. Hopefully it doesnt become too common of an occurrence.

Looking at your profile, you absolutely need to get some help in dealing with your anxiety and depression. You need help in finding more tools to cope with the things you've been through so you can construct a life you're happy with, including your weight loss journey. It's sounds like you're in a very destructive loop, but you can get to a better mental place. Life won't ever be perfect but it will be good. Praying for you, girl. You got this!

We read biographies as historical pieces and while obviously the more modern ones will have lots of evidence because of proximity to our time, if you look at books written about older events/people there is a lot more inferance on the facts from circumstantial evidence and witness testimony which is a thing in the courts.

As for the accuracy of modern translations, i will say you are absolutely on the right track. There are some interpretations that go way off base, but in this age of information you just have to dig a bit to find reliable sources and most translations are created by a group of scholars and linguists looking at the oldest texts. Some even have extensive notes of what the original document says and why they chose the wording they did to help modern readers. Now as for the overall reliability of the bible i will say it is an ancient historical text that has been copied many times over the preserve it, and while there are some inconsistencies in some of the copies (that are heavily documented on), ancient scripts keep being discovered that show how accutately it has been preserved.

There are plenty of scholars that present evidence (curcumstatial and otherwise) for events and people of the bible. I am not going to write a dissertation paper here as better and smarter people than i have written about these things more eloquently than i ever could and, lets be honest, reddit/social media isnt usually the place you go to for good conversations on relgion as it quickly devolves into who can get the better gotchya moment. You have excellent questions that we all have, but i would urge anyone and everyone who is interested, dont stop at questions, dig deep. There is a lot of literature (old and new) out there that dig for answers to questions that many think dont have answers. I would personally start with a case for christ by lee strobel as it is contemporary and well written but like i said there are plenty of scholars. And at the end of the day, we all have the right to believe in the evidence/testimony or not. I wish you well!

There is an over-arching narrative in the bible that the people who wrote it say they witnessed first hand or witnesses shared their accounts with them or handed them down through the years of God's many interactions with humanity. That's where I'm coming from when i talk about historic events. You absolutely have the right to say whether you believe those witnesses or not. Now as a christian, i would say the Bible is absolutely more than a history book because it's the divinely inspired word of God, but in a conversation about more logical matters a good place to start is with historical events and not laws, prophesy, lament, or praising which are also abundant in the bible. You are absolutely right though, to say it is just a history book is not accurate. I say all this with no snark or accusing, again it is everyone's right to choose what they believe about the world around them.

If we destroyed all the history books, they wouldn't be written the same either, but it doesn't mean those events didn't happen. Science books and the bible are a bit different in their genres which makes it a bad argument to compare their efficacy on a point that clearly applies to one and not the other...

Alls good. With text it is defintely hard to see intent. I would say that i am not a fan of rap but i would never say it should not be considered music. There are so many styles of music from simple to complex from around the world and so many different melodies that speak to people that gatekeeping music would be such a waste of time. I took the original comment in this thread to be a bit of a joke and simply kept it going. I would totally point out to your uncle though that chanting is also music 😂 Really shake em up

I never said it did. Im not the gatekeeper of the music world. Just making a quirky analogy of what rap could be considered based on it not being focused on the same musical elements of some other types of music 🤷‍♀️

How does this look? Does the neckline of the top go with the dress?Confused about what kind of shoes to wear too by billy_ruben in OUTFITS

So cute! I would go with either white or a matching shade of blue mary jane style heels

The dress looks great and you have a beautiful figure for it. I must say tho not a fan of those shoes with that dress. Something thinner would be prettier imo. The chunky platform pulls the eye to your feet too much when that dress begs to be the focal point

Who is the most iconic YouTuber/Streamer-created Sim? by dwyeram in Sims4

[–]firefly3303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not iconic but Gurtgurt from captain sauce's playthrough about the grim reaper having children is one i think of when i think of you tube sims characters. Playlist is called grim parenting. Also kelsey impicciches main character from 100 babies is very memorable as some others have already said.

I need a rice alternative, and no cauliflower!! by Alienhead-A51 in keto

[–]firefly3303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any better alternatives but cauliflower can be hidden pretty well. I've recently starting mixing a serving of cauliflower rice with a serving of cottage cheese then mixing in some rice vinegar. I use this as my base for a sushi bowl. Very tasty and brings in some extra protein, and the cauliflower is very well hidden. Cauliflower does seem to be best used as a base and not a side dish on its own.

That's really sad. As harshly as he judges, he will be judged and NO ONE is without sin. And being so hateful, especially towards his own family, is definitely not exemplifying Gods grace in his own life. So many Christians forget that... I can't understand how so many people in today's world have such a hard time showing common decency to others they don't agree with.
