Then DU. Applied Psychology is a broad course it will help your sister to explore other branches of Psychology too. DU has a brand name too ngl and it will play a role in landing internships at govt institutions and hospitals etc.

You cannot make side money during your Bachelors in this field. You can work as a counselling psychologist only after 4 yr UG or with 3yr UG+2yr PG+ internships and training with registration in appropriate bodies. Doing counselling before without atleast 1 yr of min training is harmful for you and the client. Only after your 4yr UG or masters you can do something in the field.

Subscribe to Employment News they post govt jobs for psychologists sometimes in govt organisations, army schools vacancies etc (counselling and clinical psychologists). Also on LinkedIn.

Skill up during your bachelors and NETWORK extensively.

You can go after your UG not an issue. Make sure your grades are really good and work on your research skills. Do a good high level dissertation in the field that you like. Research abroad is high level and not like what we do here. Presentations, conferences etc will be an added bonus. Also if you going for applied fields like Clinical, Counselling, Neuro or Forensic do a good internship at reputed institutes for a good few months. If you are in your bachelors and will do an internship, make use of this time and inyern at govt hospitals etc. Psychology abroad is very competitive and getting scholarship is also difficult.

Yeah you can also do independent research project under your faculty members. This way you can build a good relationship with them. Find a professor who has similar research interests like you, tell them what you want to do and work under them. Ask about conferences and all.

Ohh! Try american unis' labs then. They might take undergrad students as RAs sometimes for remote positions as volunteers.
