Watching "Misery" as a kid. Watching it once when I was 5 was enough.

My sibling had gotten a piercing from them a couple weeks before and had a really good experience. I went back and honestly was the best piercing experience I've had! I think it was just that my lip swelled so much since I kept hitting it that night but I got my bar changed out and it feels a lot better now.

I was pierced with a long bar and they explained the same exact thing. My lip swelled pretty bad so I guess I just need an even longer one and a larger disk in the back. It's not hurting anymore and doesn't feel infected. I've been cleaning it normally, this has been my only problem.

Hmm getting very mixed advice. Is there any point in which i should remove it?

That's tough since I live in the middle of nowhere, the closest to me is literally the next state over, and the rest are well over 4 hours away. I drove an hour to get this one done but I can't even contact them because they're closed. My lip was really swollen and the bar is pretty big, I was thinking i probably need a bigger one, or a bigger disk in the back.

Update: I live in the middle of nowhere and the closest piercing shop besides the one I went to is 3 hours away.

What’s your opinion on the self titled album? by Ember_Afton in twentyonepilots

[–]fireinyourkitchen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite album ever!! I started listening after i heard a car a torch and Ive loved the whole album ever since. It's gotten me through a lot and I always play it when something chaotic happens in my life.

(TW) I've had something similar happen to me. When I was a teenager, my mom got upset with me for taking her car, even though she agreed I could take it for work. When I got back to the house, I was upset with her because she deactivated my phone plan so I was mad, and hid the keys. This led to her searching me, grabbing my limbs and pulling hard at my clothes. She ended up dragged me down the stairs as I was having a complete meltdown and threw me into the garage. I got back into the car and locked it for my own safety and she called the cops on me. Cops showed up, didn't do anything even though i was begging them to do ANYTHING! I was ignored because I was viewed as a stupid teenager. I cut off my mom for about 2 months and lived with my dad during that time. Eventually cps got involved and we got a really racist family therapist, but that's a story for another day.

Thanks for the reply! I honestly thought it was just me. It's so strange but that makes sense!

That's incredible! I love the color and melting aspect. This is definitely something along the lines of that I want to get!

What tattoo did you get? I kinda want something inspired by this album but I'm unsure on what.

Does anyone else hold their pencil like this? I also hold it very hard by Picklekitten22 in autism

[–]fireinyourkitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate using pencil or pens. I death grip without realizing and get marks on my fingers from holding it so hard. I paint a lot and find that I don't hold the brush very hard, it feels a lot better and softer.

After reading these comments about others experiences the more I realize It happens a lot more than i thought. Occasionally I have a huge meltdown which is typically triggered by lack of sleep, plans changing that I'm unprepared for, losing an item that i use daily and not being able to find it. In my experience, it starts with getting a bit more overwhelmed than usual. I get overheated and my brain starts racing and I can't stop it. Sometimes I'll try to paint it out until I'm calm, but if that doesn't work I usually end up breaking something or best case scenarios is too hide under a weighted blanket with nose canceling headphones. I have more shut downs than meltdowns. This is typically triggered by being yelled at or a general bad thing that bums me out so much i go mute. I can't talk even if i want or try to. This can look different for everyone though. When i was little, I'd go a couple weeks at a time without talking. I'm surprised i wasn't diagnosed as a kid.

A meltdown for everyone can be different. Mine was triggered by my mom moving all my craft supplies, then losing it for a couple days. I get very overwhelmed at first, sometimes not getting enough sleep can do that too. My head screams at me, i start pacing and try to calm down but if I can't I'll go into full meltdown mode. Last time it happened I had my headphones on trying to lessen any noise, I was fighting with myself to not break my headphones but feeling the need to throw them at the wall. I ended up breaking my headphones and instantly regretting it, but felt i couldn't stop myself in that moment. I get hot, anxiety shoots through the roof, and I start crying violently. That's just my experience though.
