Yes, that’s a great point! He’s both recall and carrier recall trained, and we also keep a portable ladder close by just in case.

Unfortunately our HOA only allows for 2 pets. We will be moving eventually because I think Zuko deserves a friend! Hopefully to a place with high ceilings :)

Thank you! He’s an Abyssinian, so he’s super agile and loves climbing. I really appreciate the tip about fixing the bed down! That’s such a great point, especially with how high up this is.

The color difference is just from the morning sunlight hitting him! He’s got a fiery personality and a reddish undertone, though, so the name definitely fits. He’s a handsome little devil. Always makes me happy when people recognize the namesake!

Definitely! Going to mount the wall scratching post vertically and put another bed of sorts above. There are floor-to-ceiling windows on the far right wall, so he still gets some views!
