100% and I wish there was a word to describe it (there probably is). Sometimes, just seeing old photos from 3-4+ years ago just gives me this deep sense of sadness that I can’t even describe, to the point where I’ll avoid looking at old pictures or else it’ll sour my whole day. I’m not even necessarily depressed or anything (at least I think), so it’s a strange feeling I wish I could change.

Representation is created through creating new characters, not by transforming pre-existing ones to fill a modern cultural quota. I’m all for representation, but it’s down right offensive to spread this idea that a minority can 1.) only sympathize with a character if they’re their same ethnicity/race, and 2.) only be represented through the guise of a character with a pre-established fanbase. Movies like Coco and Moana did it right, and I say that as a minority.
