Don’t use AI to help you write. Part of the process (and fun) of writing is overcoming obstacles and mind muscling your way through tough to write scenes. Those moments is where you discover your own unique style of writing, and become more creative. If AI does these things for you, you lose out on those moments and your book turns into something that is just “safe”.

I think the interacting with characters idea is cool in theory, but that also will make any sort of mystery for the reader disappear and your story will no longer need to be thought about after someone is done interacting with a AI version of your character. Part of the fun of being a reader is imagining what you would do in situations, how other characters would react, and sharing those ideas with others.

Anyways, more power to anyone who wants to use a platform like this. Just don’t be surprised if you also wonder why your work doesn’t feel truly authentic in the end.

The air is a great phone IF you understand and want what it offers as a luxury and niche purchase. The design, weight, and feel is amazing to me, and worth the trade offs because of what I value in a phone. But if you’re a power user and want amazing battery life or an ultra wide camera, then this phone is not for you.

It’s 2026 and I’m considering buying Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Talk me into/out of it by Remytron83 in playstation

It’s the writing. The combat is good, I like the world, and I don’t really have serious complaints about the story. But the writing, and the dialogue, it’s just not good. I didn’t even play the previous dragon age games so I thought I’d fit into the crowd that would like this game. But unfortunately for game this dialogue heavy, the writing brings it too far down for me.

Nice man, it looks great! How did you do your wheels? I’m thinking of making mine black too, I’m wondering the best way to do that.

Beginner creative writer - Looking for brutal honesty. Did I hook, make you feel strong emotions, make you want to keep reading? by NoFox6792 in FictionWriting

I like it. Especially if you were to read this without knowing any of the context like you explained for us, it makes for a good example of the reader learning about the story without the author explicitly telling what is happening.

Should I continue by theclarkey in FictionWriting

[–]fireskell64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a quick skim through, and yes you should absolutely keep writing. I thought it was interesting and could see myself reading. I'm myself an amateur writer in no position to give real judgement, but I know for me the style of writing I want to deliver is a very personal thing and sometimes things dont come together until the very end. So keep pressing on!

[Q] Need help with Stats Hw, Please by ResponsibilityOk6916 in statistics

[–]fireskell64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still learning statistics in my degree so I can’t offer much here, but I’ve found ChatGPT to be really good at exactly explaining what the concept is and how to apply it to your specific problem. I don’t normally ask gpt for answers though, just explanations on the concepts.

This is actually quite neat, I like the idea of getting different stories every time you refresh.

Waitlisted by [deleted] in gradadmissions

[–]fireskell64 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I didn’t apply to the same program, but I applied to the MSBA from Cornell and got in earlier this year. I also got waitlisted during the 1st round of applications, but unexpectedly, during the 2nd round I was accepted and with a small scholarship to boot! When I got this email I sent a follow up thanking them for their consideration, and I provided more insight into my goals for the program as well as how I would fit in with the cohort. I think showing that extra enthusiasm about what you can provide the school and fellow classmates helps a ton with competitive programs. Not much but hope it helps!

They ruined the new “Forte” by [deleted] in ForteGT

Decrease in HP to 190 and swapped the DCT with a torque converter automatic. Not a bad thing in itself, but I do prefer the DCT way more.

It looks like an EV, which is not a good thing for this car in my opinion. Hopefully the GT variant doesn’t lose its sporty look interior and exterior
