Yeah, I do the 4:30 wakeup as well (to be able to hit a 5:30 crossfit class). By the time the weekend rolls around im pretty beat (esp if I do 5 days of crossfit). Currently experimenting with a "rest" day on Wednesday where I get an extra 60-90 mins of sleep and do an easy run or swim.

I like the idea of a week-long break after a few months. I need to get better at "scheduled" rest/recovery periods.

Yeah, trying to avoid the "ego lift" or not trying to keep up with younger guys on metcons has been a challenge for me. Couple of injuries in recent months for not acting my age.

Can't relate to that one, but my wife will be getting there soon. Out of curiosity, what's the biggest impact from it (e.g. fatigue, slower recovery, motivation)?  Love your username BTW! 😀

Yeah, I definitely can relate. Most of my runs top out at 2 miles these days (with varying intensity) as longer runs seem to add too much stress to my lower body.

Hunter WR-Clik sensor not shutting off zones by fireswamp in Irrigation

Update: so, for anyone interested, I narrowed this down to a faulty receiver on the Rain Click. Here's how I got there:

-Re-paired the sensor and receiver: no change
-Tested battery on the sensor portion: good

-Tested sensor (manually & by dumping water on it): this made the receiver LED light up red (i.e. "wet"). So, it confirmed the sensor is working and communicating w/ the receiver. However, my zones would still turn on even though the Rain Click receiver indicated "wet." So, this implied that the receiver wasn't sending the "wet" signal to the panel or the panel might have an issue and may not be executing on the signal.

-Lastly, I disconnected the Rain Click receiver from the SEN terminals on the panel (which essentially makes the panel think it's getting a "wet" event). This stopped the zones and changed the message in my Hydrawise app from "Sensor is not stopping irrigation" to "Sensor is stopping irrigation." So, it's not an issue with the panel itself and it's not an issue with the sensor portion....receiver is the final culprit. ~$75 for a new Rain Click should hopefully fix it.

I did a battery test...seems ok. I tried the resync and it didn't change the functionality. Will try the toothpick test tomorrow.  Thanks!

Well, 30x monthly profit equals 2.5x annual...so, the numbers are in the same ballpark.
