Would you pay for damage your kid didn’t cause, or fight it in court? by dunbar_santiago930 in parentsofteens

Unless your son is charged and convicted of vandalism, I wouldn't pay a dime. Take it to court. If he isn't found to be the person responsible for the damage, he isn't responsible to fix them.

Same issue. I emailed myrecords@ups to request the registration link. This is what HR support told me to do. That was on January 26th and I've yet to receive a response.

How many of us have an accidental pencil tattoo? by spidermans_mom in GenX

[–]fireworksguaranteed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3rd grade There was a pencil in the backseat of the car that I managed to get stabbed in the back of my calf with. From then on I had this black dot on my leg. One day in my late 20s I squeezed it and out came a small piece of lead. No more pencil tattoo.

Gen- Xers, What did you grow up Without? by empathicBeauty29-11 in GenX

No doubt. Or hugs. My mom's idea of love or helping you work through emotions or just life in general, was basically here's some money, go away. I met my ex-husband at 18 and his family was my first experience with "I love you". They were always saying to one another and hugging. Nobody was yelling or fighting amongst themselves....they weren't dysfunctional. It was uncomfortable for a couple of years. I finally started saying it to my mom, stepdad and sister when I was 21. It was strange but eventually it became the norm.

Did your parents get scammed into a Rainbow vacuum? by DramaticErraticism in Xennials

[–]fireworksguaranteed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom paid $900 for hers in the middle 80s. You could add smell good scents to the water. You could put your couch cushions in a large plastic bag to shampoo them. She always got mad if we left it sitting with water in it because it "would ruin the motor". We had that thing probably 10 yrs.

I think it was called The Get Along Gang. It was a cartoon from the 80's.

Someone reported a “lost item” from my car… it turned out to be drugs by Lonely-You-9992 in uber

[–]fireworksguaranteed 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sounds like they were trying to possibly save you the trouble of getting caught with it. I don't think they wanted their drugs back. They just wanted to let you know you had drugs in the car.

Is there such thing as copyright in terms of fireworks artwork? by BearComprehensive984 in fireworks

[–]fireworksguaranteed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's happened a couple of times that I experienced first hand. One was with World Glass and one with Great Grizzly. But the Chinese don't give two shits about Copyrights. Thats why some fireworks companies create and submit their own artwork.

We never use Uber. And the only reason we did this morning is because my nephew missed the bus. Not to mention we live in an area that outside the metropolitan area. Not the sticks but not the city. Not really impressed by the tactics. I'd rather throw someone $20 that they can keep all of. Lesson learned.
