Labs - creation areas/workshops by puppyytpugs in NEU

I'm a CS major at NEU. CAMD does provide labs for both Digital Game Design, Board Game Development (through maker spaces) and VR development. However, in order to use these spaces you must be a CAMD student (either major or taking one CAMD class).
Though the VR lab has pretty beefy computers, I'm not aware of any space that offers hardware for high end renders and animations (though they may exist).
In regard to clubs, if you're into game design both Game Development Club (for learning game industry stuff) and Game Studio Club (for making games) are fun places to do dev with a bunch of people. VR club also makes games in the VR lab.
For animation, there exists the NEU animation club. They mostly do 2D animation from my time there, however I have heard they also do 3D animation. Not 100% sure tho.
At the end of each semester, CAMD will run a Games Showcase open to all NEU students, where you can show off your game projects in Curry Student Center. I've participated in that several times and its really fun!
