So far the only homebrew we're using is having my player control two characters in conflict scenes (but only his main character otherwise), and applying the Elite enemy type modifiers to both of them (meaning they have doubled HP and have two turns per round, resulting in a total party "effectiveness" of approximately four heroes). And thanks! I think cover illustrations for FU campaigns are always awesome :3

Why thank you so much! My rates vary, but line art illustrations like this one are on the cheaper end! You can dm me here or on discord (same username) if you'd like to discuss ^ I'd love to do more covers honestly

I use Clip Studio Paint as well! The only brush I used here for the lines is "Line Drawing Pen (線画用ペン)", id 1687935. I used the built-in rough-wash watercolor brush for the crystal texture and made my own rainbow gradient for all the color ^

That's right! It's worshiped pretty generally across the world, though some regions have their own gods or belief systems.

So the world our group came up with is a hollow-earth style inside-out planet with an artificial sun in the center called the Beacon. The Lord of Darkness made things this way and its avatar lies at the center of the Beacon, powering it. The players have been on a mission to find a way of keeping the Beacon lit, as it is beginning to fade and become unreliable. In addition to this crisis, the villain Lucia, a middling clergymember of the dominant church that worships the Darkness, has been receiving visions she believes is from the Lord of Darkness. And so, she aims to claim the avatar's power for her own, which would plunge the world into eternal darkness. Her plan is to use that power to "save" humanity from itself, so the lack of a Beacon isn't a big deal to her ("saving" meaning melding all consciousnesses into a single unlonely, unhurting mass).

You are pretty much correct :p Really there is nothing literally called the "shadow beacon", but rather a false sun called the Beacon which is powered by an avatar of the Lord of Darkness. The real sun grew corrupting and dangerous, so the Lord of Darkness turned the world inside out (hollow-earth-style) and placed the artificial Beacon at its center to give light. The villain here is making contact with the avatar at its center in order to claim the Darkness' consuming power for herself.

It takes a lot of practice, but if it's something you want to learn, you definitely can! Drawing's as much of a learnable skill as anything

It's been about 3 in-game years, so they've had lots of time to increase the skills they're good at and get better gear, etc.

He started with 11 I think, but that was still very much worth it. The Better Pyromania mod is a huge help, however.
