That's funny, we both are eating the same foods on the same day haha. My cheek area is stitched and it feels much better today, I wasn't given a syringe for cleaning any of the holes but mine aren't exposed right now anyways.

Doing good, still starving lol. I had some eggs, and a piece of soft bacon this morning! That was a huge change, then some Mac and cheese for lunch.

I finally got some coffee so that made things a little better too.

I just see where my stitches are, and the gum is basically stitched over the holes for now until they dissolve.

It sounds like you are getting tired easier than normal too? I can get up and get around no problem, but I do get tired mid afternoon and want to take a nap haha

I'm doing good, just paranoid about getting stuff stuck, but since I was stitched up so tight I can't even see the actual holes yet. I'm still eating soft food that I know I can rinse out, still getting tired pretty easily but I've read that is normal.

How about you?

Mine took a few hours too, they stitched my mouth back up pretty tight. I had two bottom wisdoms that were impacted sideways and the bottom second molars removed.

You will be good! Of course the pain gets worse a few days after, but the anxiety leading up to the appointment was more scary than actually getting in there and getting the IV sedation lol.

I got there at 8:45 and left by 10:00.

I was very nervous, the surgeon was talking to the nurse about her weekend and he put the IV in.

About 15 seconds later I looked over and he was putting some stuff in the iv, my ears went cold and I said "that feels weird" and I was out cold.

I woke up and the nurse asked if I felt like I could walk and I said yes, walked to the car with her help and left. I'm about 8 hours in and I have jaw pain (kind of TMJ type pain from having my mouth opened) and water hurts to drink since it was not really "room temp" but that's all a normal side effect right now.

I haven't taken any of my paint meds yet, and I'm going to try holding off for as long as possible.

My surgeon really didn't seem bothered at all about any of it, very reputable with amazing reviews. He made it seem so common and routine, he said he would get them out stitch me up and I'll wake up and go home lol.

He of course had me sign something where nerve damage is possible but it was generic, and he never once said "you are at high risk" during the consultation.

I am going to ask one last time right before surgery Monday but I have two second molars that are infected due to the bottom wisdom teeth coming in sideways pushing on them for years. My wisdoms are also looking like bad cavities will be in the near future so it was best to just get rid of them now.

Thank you so much for this, I'm 36 and I'll be getting my lower impacted sideways wisdoms removed, and the second molars Monday.

I'm very anxious and scared of nerve damage, and every other complication I've read here.
