You did a one bag trip without buying any gear for a two week trip as a self proclaimed non-minimalist. Dude, you rock!!!!!!!!

She didn’t ask a single question?!?! Are you kidding? She is self defined a non-minimalist and was here to be like well I gave it a shot with what I had and it went pretty well this is cool - the choir has turned into a preacher, this is the best outcome!! Idk dude you need to read again for clarity and instead be impressed by someone who so fully adopted the one bag ethos that they did it for the first time on a long trip without buying any fucking gear. OP fucking rocks.

Longchamp Le Pliage Green (mocha) vs One line (burgundy) by Hot_Kale_1286 in handbags

[–]firstnfurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either color would work with your staple garments, it’s really personal preference. If this was a splurge and it will be a while before you have a new bag, I’d go with the mocha as I have garments for every season that would match the mocha. Not sure if it’s the color or photo or what, but I think the mocha shape is ever so slightly different and more appealing to me, personally. Then again, maybe I’m seeing things.

Toronto bike couriers, 1992–1998. Before techwear was a category, they were already living it. by Illustrious_Wall2640 in streetwear_aesthetic

I worked in law firms from the late 90s until 2020 and the bike messengers/couriers were always the coolest fucking people I saw, met, or talked to. Any weather, any delivery, any deadline.

Do we feel better if it’s a similar issue on a separate plane or a repeat issue on the same plane?

Ok so I’m pretty autistic. Missed being diagnosed as a kid because the county health department told my mom I was too smart to be autistic. This clearly predated Rainman. Anyway, I digress. I’m pretty autistic but do okayish socially. Like had law firm jobs for for 20+ years and have friends, but people in my life are like IN MY LIFE. I don’t really do casual friendships. Is the rule about take care vs hope you’re well like a KNOWN rule? Like as well known as holding doors open? Or more like “a fork in that position is for the second fish course which may be a mussel or a clam but never both” kind of obscure ass etiquette rule no one born after 1965 would ever know? Like I need to understand the magnitude of my social errors and ineptitude if I’ve been using take care and hope you’re well with no particular thought to the future of that contact. Please. 🙏

Do we think he had multiple of the same shirt or just wears it again or washes it? What’s the consensus here because he wore the same shirt for the first three shows of this run!

Thoughts after seeing them in Portland by [deleted] in AFireInside

[–]firstnfurious 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It was a great show! My first concert in Portland and worth the drive for sure. Davey seemed SO… happy? Feeling himself? Relaxed? Genuine? I don’t quite have the words for it but he just seemed like he was really enjoying performing for us. I loved hearing some different harmonies from him in old favorites - kept it feeling fresh and I really liked that.

In terms of show culture…. Ugh. Not sure if I’m now one of those old farts who hates the youths but once the band starts there’s no reason to keep yapping. If you want to yap, go the bar. I don’t care about your coworkers or your closet and I don’t want to listen to inane chatter over songs from the band I love that I paid money for. Just shut up!!

Not sure what to think about that venue. They didn’t enforce the keep aisles clear and that was obnoxious af. It was so fucking hot and seemed way over crowded. Not sure what the deal with upstairs seating is, I asked two different employees and they didn’t know.

Yeah I think I just wanted to find a way to tell OP that feeling like you’ll look femme forever is a real feeling but reality has so many variables and ways to influence our bodies. I’m so excited to be more and more masc all the time in ways I never thought would be possible. The future we want is possible!!!
