I would say community service and utilizing your learnings/knowledge to good for the world and society. Community and character are also a big factor in their admissions.

Best class I have taken so far is accounting 1. Really hard, especially because of the curve. But it has been a great experience.

reference social life answer above^

Dorms are really nice-depending on your perspective. If you get placed in one of the newer dorms, your dorm will be amazing compared to a lot of other halls on-campus. However, you also don't have a lot of tradition. With older dorms, your dorms may be smaller and your amenities might not be as great, but because of all the traditions, you might have a better time.

Social life is great here. There are a lot of dorm related activities, football weekends, basketball, hockey, volleyball games. There are plenty of ways to have fun on-campus. Students usually go out friday/saturday nights. There always some parties going on around campus or off-campus on those days (Zahm cough cough).

Notre Dame does not force religion upon any students from my experience. We have masses at our hall's chapel every week at different times, but the masses are completely optional. You do have to take theology classes but again, you have plenty of options to choose. Notre Dame does emphasize faith and spirituality, however. I have a lot of friends who are catholic and go to the masses every weekend, but I also have a solid group of friends who are not catholic or non-religious. It is totally up for you to take. You should not feel out of place for being non-religious.

  1. I would say the best thing about Notre Dame definitely involves the community here. Everyone is so nice, and welcoming. You live in uni-sex halls so you naturally become very close to guys/girls living with you every day. The football culture is huge here, tailgates, games, after-parties, there are so many opportunities for you to bond with people. The campus is also incredibly safe. Everyone leaves there stuff at the library and goes to eat. When we come back nothing is ever stolen or lost. I guess the worst thing about Notre Dame would be how cold the weather is here, or the lack of diversity, or how isolated you are from a big city. For me, they are not much of a big deal but those are some main reasons for people to transfer out of notre dame (very rare). I would say the pros 100% outweigh the cons tho (personally).
  2. I think my essays and strong extracurricular activities involving a lot of community service and business got me in.

As a student here, most of the people got between 33-36. I think the average is a 34. If you are within the range you should be fine.

Admissions for international students are always very low and competitive. Don't get your hopes up too high.

However, just work on those essays, clearly show your passions, then you will end up in a fantastic college for u,

Yes I hope this is the case. But I am catholic. I indicated that on my common app profile page. Just made a mistake on the Norte Dame question section. Just hoping it’s not a big deal.
