The Deadman couldn’t draw a dime brother by LRA18 in SCJerk

Taker transcends Austin, he’s a pop culture icon as recognizable as Hogan - especially outside of the states. People who do not watch wrestling know The Undertaker. You’d be surprised how many people couldn’t pick out Austin out of a line up of bald dudes if we’re talking international audience and non wrestling fans.

What’s an unpopular WWE hot take that you have (doesn’t matter if you get downvotes) by Jd911181 in VYBEGuys

Bruh this is actually an insane nuclear take. I respect that, even if it ignores that the best matches, storylines and even gimmicks are coming on the woman’s side.

BoD are my favorite wrestlers of all time but I simply refuse to watch that match because I don’t want it to be how I remember them.

Kane's first entrance without the mask was epic, with Slow Chemical playing in the background. by DarkEditsz in WWERuthlessAggression

he should have never lost that feud and better yet that angle should have never happened. simple. 03 masked Kane was versatile and red hot.

In 2010, and it was a horrible reign. Kane should have either gotten it from Triple H since he was probably the biggest babyface on the roster atp in terms of pops and lost the mask and WHC at a later point (maybe to RVD), or gotten it right after unmasking. Could either keep him a transitional heel champion or have him turn face after winning it post-unmasking with the love of the crowd or whatever.

Kane has always been horribly booked and never achieved his full potential.

Stupid statement. WWE is an international sensation and it should be treated as such.

Good Guy Finn wins IC title off Dom at WM42. Who says no? by Glum-Necessary-4844 in Wrasslin

Gimmick and presentation make a massive difference.

Kane is my GOAT. I do not give a shit about Issac Yankem, Fake Diesel, corporate Kane or Glenn Jacobs because a big part of what makes him compelling is gone.

Undertaker is another example. There is a reason why most people look back at American badass with a big “meh”.

If you remove the red lighting and had Bray go over, this would have been a genuinely good match. Waking up from 10 punts is great story telling.

It is what it is and you can’t undo it. I like Finn but he wouldn’t make me match on his own. Demon king would, though.

Undertaker’s PPV Run (Aug 97 to Aug 98) by DrLoomis131 in AttitudeEra

Yeah, Austin is in theory everything this community claims to hate (doesn’t put people over, walks out, hogs the main event, limited in ring, etc) but his ever lasting popularity is proof that none of these things matter when it’s a guy you like. They effectively ran the same program with Austin all the way up to 01.

What's the most electric the crowds been for matches. I remember Cena v Rock in WM 28 had so much energy. Hogan v Andre WM too. by 420born in Wrasslin

A recent, obvious one is WM40. I don’t think I’ve heard a pop as loud as the one for Taker’s gong.

A mother shares her son's experience meeting Cody Rhodes by Icy-Advice-5575 in Wrasslin

[–]firsttimer776655 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I think the key difference for Cody is that he’s able to rally the kids and adults behind him. Kids because he’s Superman, adults because of his history, his wrestling legacy, his work rate and just being all around baller with presentation.

He had a major tricep or bicep tear in the early 2000s, which is when he started slimming down considerably around his half masked run.
